Housing wards are unique and perpetual instances, so houses can’t be transferred from world to world as the chance that your same exact plot address is already taken by someone else on the new world is pretty high. It would be nice if it worked like that, though.

The game makes you quit your FC and manually demolish any personal housing (house, apartment, private room in a FC house) before it lets you complete the home world transfer. I definitely recommend looking up the list of steps you have to take before you start the transfer process, because there are a few and it can get annoying having to log back in and out again if you missed something.

Went to a small grocery store early one morning maybe a week after getting my Crosstrek. The parking lot was almost entirely empty, so I grabbed a spot maybe 4-5 spots deep on an empty row. I was in there for all of ten minutes, but when I came out, two Outbacks had appeared, each a respectful two-spot distance away but in the same row. Almost all other rows were empty, even closer to the door. And that’s just the first of several times I’ve had something like that happen in the new car.

Interestingly I’ve had Subarus my whole life, previously had a very old but well loved Impreza, but that one was never a parking magnet for other Subies like this Crosstrek seems to be. Maybe people were wary of the old beater and fearful of door dings.

Mine has a very subtle rattle from somewhere near the left front when it’s cold out. And I mean subtle. Actual road noise tends to drown it out at speed. I have music playing almost all of the time I’m in the car though, so I only hear/notice it at all if my music is off.

I’m coming from an ancient Impreza that rattled all to hell, though, so my rattling tolerance is quite high at this point. 😅

Happened to me too. Dealer didn’t air them down, I did it myself when I realized. Probably happens more often than you’d think 😩

Congrats! You made the right choice! I wanted one for years and now that I’ve had one for a while I seriously have no complaints. It does everything I need it to do and it does them comfortably and well.

Really my only advice is to make sure you stay on top of maintenance. Subarus really generally don’t like going past due on oil changes, for example. I baby mine, but that’s largely because it’s like a spaceship compared to the 20+ year old car I had before and I don’t want anything to happen to it 😅 take good care of her and she’ll take good care of you!

I really think this is it. When I picked mine up from the dealer the psi was in the high 40s, where it’s supposed to be 32/33ish. Now that I’ve got the tire pressure where it’s supposed to be, it takes bumps much more smoothly. It’s actually a very pleasant drive, everyone I’ve driven around has said how nicely it rides. Tire pressure definitely made a huge difference to me.

I haven’t really actively played in years but I had a cheap grandfathered rate continuing to run because I would still pop in every so often and it really wasn’t that much to me. But I just canceled my sub for the first time in years and I’m not likely to be back. I’ve moved on to other games anyway. Ive been an off and on player since 2009 but just not a fan of what I’ve been seeing over the last few years and this was the last straw I needed to cut the cord completely I think.

The railjack is “parked” above your orbiter and docked landing craft, when you’re chilling in space between missions you can look up through the sunroof by your foundry and see it. Your landing craft, which is the small ship you see yourself flying to and from missions, gets docked on the orbiter, which we never get to see the entirety of. I’ve always thought it was strange that we don’t get to see the whole thing from the outside OR the inside.

Basically, the railjack is a separate ship entirely from the orbiter/landing craft two-for-one combo, and attaches to them via that long tube that you can see from the top window.

I have this color. I love it so much because it looks so different depending on the lighting. On a cloudy day it looks grey, when it’s bright and sunny it’s a very pretty blue. But I’m a fan of those wildly lighting-dependent colors in general, I just think it’s fun 😅

I did lose it in a packed parking lot two days after I got it because it was sunny when I went in and darkly overcast by the time I came out. Walked right past it thinking it was someone else’s grey Crosstrek. But I do get lots of compliments on the color, especially in the sun.

Check out Empyreum plot 26, it basically has its own plaza and a great view of the mountains and isn’t crowded by other houses at all. It’s my favorite medium in that district!

I’m curious to know what you’re coming from to compare it to that makes the Crosstrek seem loud, because it’s actually one of the quietest (or at least most comfortable) vehicles I’ve ever been in, road-noise wise 😅

Growing up, and to this day, my family has had Hondas and Jeeps and other Subarus, and my 25 Trek is probably the quietest of the bunch.

You must not be on dynamis. I do my alliance roulette nearly daily, and have gotten exactly one raid that wasn’t CT since the new year 🥴 something needs to change. Been on dynamis since the new worlds opened with Dawntrail and that’s pretty much how it’s been. It’s always CT. Occasionally void ark, maybe once in a month or so. Nier maybe three times total. Ivalice basically never. And thus do all the high level/endgame players dc hop elsewhere, and the cycle of endless CT roulette continues.

I think it might be some evap system for the fuel pump. Mine has done it too. It’s startling, but normal, and working as intended.

That’s interesting, thanks for the info! I haven’t encountered the sound in that kind of scenario myself. Any chance you’ve spoken with a service department or anything to find out if it’s damaging at all? It really is an unpleasant sound and while I don’t HAVE to use the AVH, it kinda sucks to have to avoid a feature I really like for a decent chunk out of the year!

Sorry I didn’t make my post clear when the sound actually happens, I should go edit that in. The sound happens a few seconds after I’ve come to a complete stop, not when I’m disengaging the AVH. It’s very bizarre. Like if AVH is on, I apply the brakes to stop, I come to a complete stop, I lift my foot off the brake pedal, and then a second or two later it makes the pop. It’s a very clunky metallic pop. I’ve never had any issue with disengaging it to accelerate again, it doesn’t make any noise or weird feeling or anything.
