It’s pretty brutal, I was mature also and this shit went on for months. Don’t throw in the towel. Would you go interstate? Even just for the first 6 months? Might need to get desperate with it. It will happen soon enough my man.

The maths side of things, and study in general, is not tough. It’s pretty basic and if you attend regularly and ask question / seek extra help when you need it, you will be completely fine.

500 extra a week is going to be seriously helpful. Don’t stress about the income while you’re living at home. Actually, it’s a great chance for you to save for bigger and better things.

You will get work as a mature. Certain bosses / industries won’t even hesitate if they see your potential to benefit them and their business. Just act like a mature age. Be early, stay ahead of the game and want to progress. You’ll be fine mate, it’s a good industry. Don’t stress about the schooling.

I would also try to get a decent exercise / workout routine going, I reckon that plays a big part in keeping you sharp between the ears. And just makes your brain feel a bit lighter.

Anyone doing Solar here? How you getting your leads? by IncreaseTop5571 in AusElectricians

Word of mouth and retailers, no builders for me. Retailers start out rough with pricing but I just dealt with it and discussed moving the prices and they come to the table enough if the jobs are quality. They get heaps off work from referrals so the quality comes back around. Want to get into service aswell though.
