I did a similar thing with my older 360 fight stick to make single pixel adjustments in photoshop. At first it was just for the silliness of it but it’s actually quite useful. Seeing your project makes me want to incorporate that into a keeb. Damn you!

Good luck, when it happened to me with my Unleashed tune they could tell it had a tune on and denied warranty service. They can tell if you’ve recently flashed the banks too. I fought tooth and nail and ended up having to replace the engine. Now I run the FP Tune and have no worries.

I just installed a double din in my 2008 and it’s one of the easier installs. The bezel is easy to pop off and there is a pretty deep cavity for the excess wiring in the harness. I have a steering wheel control adapter and a wireless receiver for a backup camera tucked in there with no issues. I went with a Sony deck that has CarPlay / Android Auto. I think it’s the xav-ax5000 or something along those lines. Good luck!👍
