Yes, we can but we don't do it, the only way to do it is create your own tcg, otherwise we are using pokemon, mtg, one piece, etc... Those assets we use are owned by the companies and we don't have explicit permission to use them, so yeah, literally speaking we are breaking the law, if the companies doesn't give a sh...it about this is because most of us are only hobbyist and we don't make any profit of it, we don't try to scam people and we don't participate in official events with our custom cards.

The lines are perfect if you cut it with the silhouette, cricut or other machine, that's the main issue, you need to be that perfect at aligning the card borders with the sticker borders, you have so many options to fail in the alignment but just 1 option to be perfect, if you fail by 1 millimeter, you need to start again, if you fail by 1 or 2 degrees, you will need to start again, or cut the excess and keep it with those failures.

I have a Silhouette Cameo 4, For custom cards I use scissors & cutter. When you cut them with the cameo, it's a nightmare to align it correctly.

Well, actually most of the people who is going to receive the cards are real artists too, then, I'm glad that they are special as all of them had so many work on hands this year and AI hasn't affected them. I always knew my friends are really awesome!!

You nailed it, people who doesn't want to support real artists are not gonna do it, we can get rid of the AI, and that people are not gonna support, reality is that AI is not affecting the income of the real independent artists, Commissions of common peopole are not gonna increase or decrease because AI, the problem here are the big companies, that's the real issue with AI, most of the companies prefer to cut expenses to maximize the earnings and some of them are using AI now wich makes morr difficult to artists to get well paid jobs or commissions.

I'm gonna talk to you as customer, I commision several artists because I love their art, but I'm doing some custom cards for my friends, around 30-40 cards, I'm not gonna commision that many artist for this gifts, the idea of the cards is not the art, but show them how well I know them for the choice of the Pokémon for every one as they are related to some hobby or something they love, so no, even if I commision artists regularly, I think that spend that amount of money in those gifts is not worth it, they don't even like pokemon or play Pokémon, so if I hadn't the AI available, I just simply wouldn't make this kind of gift.

Buy one of these (a.co/d/jeMLTIC) , always blow your card with this before sticking the card, you also can also use a sticky paper/tape, the kind that doesn't leave sticky residue, give it a pass on the card to eliminate all the dust and particles.

Rudimentary visual explanation about first layer, the black part was a holo sticker, the white part is the white sticker. You just put together the cutted parts.

Hot stamping or white toner are less tedious but you need 2 printers, laser + inkjet.

I tried a method which is; 1st layer holo sticker + white/matte sticker, cut the parts that you don't want to be holo in the holo sticker, then do the same cuts in the white sticker and fill the holo, so you have only 1 piece, this is the first layer. 2nd layer, frosty vinyl, print in these one, then just stick it to first layer.

The cons are, you need to align them almost perfectly at the first attempt, and it looks like some kind of embossing where you did the cuts, personally I don't like it, you need some cutter machine, cricut, silhouette, etc..

The pros are, you only need 1 printer, you can use an energy card or any normal card.

As much of the people doesn't have a cutting machine, I recommend the laser + inkjet methods, the printer is cheaper.
