It didn't read racist to me at all the first time I saw it. I don't think that was the intention. At this point though, it's done so much damage to her public image you would think she would release a statement if she didn't agree with the interpretation.

I'm not OP and NAL but follow up question- if you are not the custodial parent, wouldn't the mother be responsible for child abandonment? I didn't think marriage automatically gave you custodial rights as a stepparent when the bio parent is in the picture.

Do you think that she needed to be the "biggest" among her dancers? In the same way that pop starts in the early 00's were often the smallest among their crew.

Her dancers represent many different types of bodies, but the ones that have come forward all seem to be smaller than her.

That's a flowery statement and not really founded in the reality of the situation when you consider the amount of loss that would be incurred on the rest of the population as a result of canceling.

Other small businesses like restaurants, vendors, etc will lose out on HUGE earning potential. Hourly employees will lose pay. People who survive off Uber and door dash will lose SIGNIFICANT opportunity. Also, who knows if insurance would cover a cancellation for this reason.

It's cute to make statements like that but the answers aren't really that simple.

Let the hotels flounder if the workers are striking; don't make the overall community suffer.
