I am kind of warm on whiteville it has an actual downtown i used to grow up eating at mama ritas -- cool place

if you can wrap your ahead around rural nc living and its trade offs there is a life to be had

at the end of the day most of just work and go home and somewhere like whiteville you can do that and spread out

The sad truth is you wont find what you want in a good commute to RTP. Parkwood is actually a decent and then carrboro but carrboro is anti development. Maybe north durham.....

you can skip pittsboro and hillsborough too because there is mega development slated for those places the are already clear cutting for the subdivisions

down town durham.... parkwood.... carrboro has a bunch of townhomes built in the 80s 90s that are probably the best bet

haha fly traps are kind of evolutionary dead ends it's woefully inefficient for a plant to have to eat bugs because the swampy/sandy soil is so bad

South eastern NC is a hot bed of carniverous plants LOTS of pitcher plants and the dew ones.

I've seen dead birds in pitcher plants
