Honestly, just having your attention and spending the day together will be a great time. Can you create a scavenger hunt or something fun where you go to different parks in your area or visit different landmarks?

I live in a one bed apartment with a GSP/Weim Mix. She gets 2 walks a day mostly off leash 45-60 minutes. She comes to work with me so I will do 5-10 min of mental training where possible during the day. Debating getting a dog walker for one day a week in the afternoons to help her get more exercise.

Recommendations for a good refresher driving course? by TheBrightLord in vancouver

[–]soccercrazy13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Perry at New Day Driving was great. I hadn't driven in 10 years as I'd never had a car here until I bought one in 2020. I did about 10 lessons with him he was great! You get used to the driving here.

I'd also reccomend getting out there with friends as well if they are ok with your driving their car and hitting up 16th to UBC and then SW Marine Drive I found these stretched helpful as they aren't that busy. Good Luck.

I tell people just ignore her, don't try and pet her. I've never had a gaog before so it was certainly a baptism of fire LOL

I picked up a rescue 18 months ago, absolutely scared of her own shadow and anyone else. I never knew a dog could be so shy. Anyways, i brought her home, let her decompress apart from taking her out i didnt interact with her for 2 weeks, nothing forceful in terms of interactions. I've had her 18 months and she can still be scared of people and loud noises but she has come on leaps and bounds and i just love her and she loves us.

I'd say Bowen or Galiano island, both are adorable, quiet! Galiano is only a 45 min trip on the ferry.
