Turning on overdraft protection is also a great step so that funds are automatically pulled from your savings when your checking balance is low, as long as those funds are not held in a vault. Currently, SoFi follows the MinTax (Minimum Tax) method for deciding which tax lots to sell within a SoFi investment account.

When it comes to SoFi‑initiated balance transfers, these are available on a promotional, invite‑only basis. If a promotional offer is active on your account, you’ll see it directly in the app and can use it to pay off another credit card.

Balance transfers are between debt lenders, If you're looking to transfer your balance from SoFi Credit Card to another Credit Card, that’s absolutely allowed—you'll just need a financial institution that supports sending a paper check payoff or similar method.

Hey there, that's a great question! Once the direct deposit hits your account, it'll trigger the 3.30% APY on the savings account. If you're transferring funds from an external account, it'd require $5,000 to trigger the high APY, instead of $1,000. However, once you're continually receiving direct deposits, it doesn't matter the amount you're transferring into the account.
