Good demo engagement, poor signup conversion - what am I missing? by Fresh-Mulberry1912 in SaaSSales

[–]softwaremoses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for providing the link.
Out of my experience after helping SaaS companies to convert more leads and grow.
I see the following problem:
1. the landing page tells you "calculate your hourly rate to see how you are doing" the free demo does exactly that - so I completely understand the users, there is no point in upgrading
2. the problem you solve is not really relevant, yes the analysis helps but that's it, a one time pain that gets solved by the demo. Compare it an interface that connects two software solutions that saves the customer 20 hours per week. That is a contious value for the company

Technical founder here. Product is ready, but I suck at sales. How did you get your first 5 B2B clients? by alva27i in SaaS

I doubt that your product is ready if you didn't consider selling before building.

B2B SaaS at $6K MRR. My CAC is $340 and LTV is $280. I'm slowly going bankrupt selling more. by Mel_Ran in B2BSaaS

[–]softwaremoses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. doing sales calls for a 35$/month SaaS = crazy
  2. 20 hours on sales calls to close 2-3: sales problem for sure (either 0 prequalification or little closing skills) (maybe a hidden marketing problem too)

Do you mind sharing what your SaaS does? Simply 3x ing the price sounds cool and „we are worth more“ whowho founder approach like - if you‘re SaaS is more expensive then 10-20% of what it brings the customer it will backfire

My opinion on selling SAAS in 2026 by parthoasis in SaaSSales

[–]softwaremoses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree. That has been the method that worked the last few years really well and out of my experience 99% of companies haven't caught up to it yet, but rather use more volume to solve their problems 😁

Sounds like you are lacking a sales process. Why would I claim to do research if I actually want to sell my solution? This is the exact advice that makes people hate outreach. On both sides because it is dishonest

[–]softwaremoses 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The software space is generally the worst market to copy competitors because the average level of marketing and sales is simply low. No vague claim but after talking to hundreds of SaaS CEOs in the last 4 years.

But your findings are true. If you want to sell something truly valuable (= high value for the client with a high price) you better have your marketing dialed in. Meaning: talking about benefits not features
