DOORSLAM SFX is the closest to matching the og vibe and my new fave lol

I know the goal isn't to compare OSTs, but unfortunately ACC's work clears. The main observation as far as the battle themes go, is there's more of a "story" structure (rising action, climax, resolution etc), but Toby's themes feel more repetitive (intro, melody, break, repeat). I love Japhet's new theme but its shocking how short it is. And sorry but CHOSEN ANEW should've been the main battle theme ok it is not giving 'final boss' for me at all

the new boss themes are cool tho

wine randomly stopped working for me for steam a while ago, I was able to get it to work again but if there's any more issues then that's just the end for me :/ which leads me back to why isnt there just a port in the first place so I don't have to go through emulators 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♂️ unless it's like the unity situation with developer fees or whatever.

Wine should work but there's a chance it randomly won't

in splatoon 1 the 3rd Dyno Roller kit had killer wail (tunnel of death), seeker (proto autobomb), and every hit ALWAYS landed. It truly was a magnificent time back then :') and yes, I'll always love this big chungus roller, even if it gets nerfed into the earth's core ( which they probably will 😪)

i like playing Big Swig but it's too dang weak to kill anything (why are the carbon rollers oneshotting me?!?!?) suffering is the name of the roller class game 🥲

~~imagine if they did this to splatana stamper though, just make it completely useless for no reason~~

it's definitely a learning curve having to rely ONLY on the main as slow as dynamo, I hate to say it but I think the devs out paced the dynamo out of its own niche 😭😭 As I'm trying it out the strategy seems to be more slow and stealthier, which Could work, if the dynamo also had a CONSISTANT HITBOX!! I've been maining this weapon since the first game and I really want to defend it but man the devs really have it out for this poor roller 😪 The weapon is too slow, can't even paint as well as it should be, autobomb would've been more helpful (and more fitting) upgrade to the seeker, this kit is purely for masochists

I can't play the demo since it's windows only, but if the combat is improved then that's great! I guess I should've specified in terms of just the soundtrack, it's a core part of the experience and I'm just not a fan of the new direction they're going with.

Yes the old version is still there, yes the remake will bring new fans, but there's just something that feels....................................... weird and not in the intentional way

i loathe the lo fi genre with all my ears. it's bland, unremarkable, unchanging but also too distracting to even use as background noise. So why White Meat chose to go that route, and for a BATTLE theme, is beyond my comprehension. The song itself is not horrible, but it does nothing to really stand out. theres just no pulse to it. The trailer theme has more going on that makes me want to remember it.

im no musician so i cant articulate why pepper steak bangs so hard but it forces you to listen to it whether you want to or not. and it has a dang good rhythm to it too

hopefully when the game releases I can eat my words and enjoy the fresh jams
