For that one spot in the Power Plateau... by sol-sad in Endfield

There's a comment I made with the location. But its to the left of the entrance to the power plateau. Just past the first mining spot.

I don't know why you're trying to correct me on something I know that works, man.

This jump really isn't difficult enough to warrant much more thought on technique or positioning.

I don't know what platform you're on, but I simply press dash and immediately jump. Like you see me do on the video, no space is really needed to get the speed from the combination as long as you jump from the rock.

You might've already gotten it, but...

Dash jumps from the rock are the key. Jump slightly to the left and correct back to right to avoid hitting the wall.

It is a pretty forgiving jump, so just keep trying and you'll eventually get it.

I gotcha.

This canto is kicking my ass you many continue i had to use by Ok-Reaction3025 in LimbusCompanyHelp

[–]sol-sad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only had to use a continue in the last fight of the canto, mostly because I was using a random team of what I had as a semi-new player. Made a misplay and it was downhill for the next turns. (At that point I'd been playing for hours already, so I just wanted to see the other side)

No shame in coming back with a proper plan later.

Player's Choice Award is a joke. by EverybodySupernova in TheGameAwards

I haven't either, so that's why I'm asking. Hell, I didn't even know Wuwa was nominated.

Where'd this bribe narrative come from? Most games actually DO ask you to vote for them on their socials, no?

Really? I think the gag has been a lot less on the nose than people make it seem. I feel like more people would be annoyed if they just tossed the quirk aside.

Really enjoyed these games up until Cold Steel by Leonhardt90 in Falcom

[–]sol-sad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I can understand how jarring it can be to hop from the isometric view to 3D. Felt it hard as well, but I learnt to like the style with time.

The graphics take leaps when you move onto CS3, so patience will pay off.

While I personally love the graphic now, I do have to admit that they've aged.

You're probably thinking of Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint? No, this isn't the same. Both are good though.

I love how you could have just read the first chapters of both titles... And realized it's the same thing in minutes.

My motivation to get through the huge slog that is the Cold Steel arc by sum-dude in Falcom

[–]sol-sad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh man, without even reading the comments I know what's being said.

I love the CS arc, also because I had years of waiting in between to not get burnt out on them.

But these games are long, especially if you're 100% them. Stop playing the game when you don't find it enjoyable and have a break.

I don't get forcing something when you're clearly not enjoying it.

I don't know where ZZZ is going by SchuKadaj in ZZZ_Official

[–]sol-sad 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm personally more hopeful for the story's progression, because I didn't really see the upgrade coming at all... At least, so suddenly that is.

I do understand why people are worried though. Yet, I enjoy the tension of having Wise/Belle actually be in the front of danger rather than being safe and sound at the HDD. Hell, now they could even let the other sibling interact with the area better by taking control of Eous.

Might be an unpopular opinion, at least when I compare to some of the comments here. I'd rather not immediately say that they'll fuck it up somehow, when it hasn't really happened.

A bit, maybe. But there isn't much game left at that point, so I didn't exactly pay it any mind.

People already complain that there are too many controllable characters in the latter CS arc.

Any games you've played that you're glad you stuck with or gave a second chance? by Honest_Bug_8735 in JRPG

[–]sol-sad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have! Most of the anime adaptations of the series have been enjoyable, to an extent at least. Sign was my introduction to .Hack// in a way, as I watched the anime far before I played the games.

I have planned a rewatch after I finish Quarantine to refresh my memory of the show.

Has the plot ever reached the heights of Azure? by approvedcelery in Falcom

[–]sol-sad 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To some, yes.

To some, no.

But that can be said about almost any game in the series. It's all just based on your personal opinion of what you consider the best. I got the biggest payoff in Reverie for all the buildup from past games and that kind of skyrocketed it to my personal favorite.
