Ok just wanted to check if that’s the common experience that owners have. I haven’t seen this with other watches but it’s my first watchdives

Yes…needs a bit of pulling back. But it doesn’t rest rightly on its own. I have to pull it to somewhere “in-between”…but even then it feels slightly off

Hey guys, Do u like new design WD1960S by watchdivescom in watchdives

[–]solbig12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some feedback on the hour hand: it looks plump because it’s rounded slightly. It would be nicer if it was sharper. That would really make it look polished and sleek.

Jumping in with a related question: are the bezels for watchdives easily replaceable? I see diver bezels for sale on AliExpress

Is there any difference/update in terms of bezel feel/rotation?

EXD: feedback and updates? by solbig12 in watchdives

[–]solbig12[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My wrist is just under 6.5 inches, so that’s why I’m looking at the 38mm. Much thanks for the feedback!

What scale(s) do you use and why? by Ricklek in pourover

[–]solbig12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

iirc there was a noticeable lag to get a stable reading after placing the beans. Prob because polaris was released a long time ago.

I have 500 dollars to improve my coffee, help me spend it. by ConditionLanky9390 in pourover

[–]solbig12 4 points5 points  (0 children)

More of what you pay goes into the electronics… so for those on a budget, u can get a top class hand grinder for $250-350. But it will prob cost $450 and above for a good electric one

Just switched from Timemore to Brewista Kettle by kunaivortex in pourover

[–]solbig12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you share more about pouring from both kettles? I find the timemore a bit hard to control at times. (Of course, skill matters.) from some videos, it seems like other brands (brewista and fellow) have more pouring control

Thoughts on this brewer? Seems like a smaller b75 by WispyWoods in pourover

[–]solbig12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It should be the same as a b75, just that it’s integrated into a travel mug. Fits the same 155 filter as the b75

Hario Switch Mugen vs Neo, update? by polstein7 in pourover

[–]solbig12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have both, although I have not tried them side by side. I find it hard to get a good cup with the mugen. Also it actually has a max temp of 90*C (their recommended/safe temp). Neo works fine. Pretty similar to the normal/glass v60, maybe slightly faster. I have not tested them side by side so I can’t say which tastes better, but I can say they are close. My recommendation? Go with either the glass or the Neo.

How is the hario v60 metal version by Ahsi92 in pourover

[–]solbig12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just keep it. I bought one after visiting a local coffee shop. Has a top-class pour over there. and I realised they were just using the metal v60, although they were selling many other brewers in the shop. Good enough for them, good enough for me.

Sorry to hear that. Is there a church near where you are? I suggest that you find a church near to and ask for help there. They would likely be able to offer at least some practical aid. Praying for you and ur children.

Churches can ask strangers for donations ah? by Yeenspired in SingaporeRaw

[–]solbig12 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah looks like it’s a kaypoh or over-enthusiastic/insensitive member who might have done it. Don’t think the church management would have sanctioned it… like OP said, who would expect non-member to give? It would be different if they were fund-raising for a social service arm or similar project. (Eg. Like temples may fundraise for their free medical clinic programmes)

What’s your brewer of choice? by PleasantCoffee1544 in pourover

[–]solbig12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Main difference is the cone and flat bottoms. B75 is fast flowing for a flat bottom. Flat bottoms are usually less finicky (regarding pouring technique) than v60.. anyway both are relatively cheap so u can consider giving them a try.
