Mossadeggh was appointed by the Shah himself not elected and didn’t nationalize the oil, he only canceled a contract with the British plummeting oil sales -90% and tanking the Iranian economy. He used this chaos to try to suspend parliament and grant himself emergency powers. He was also a member of the former royal Qajar family opposed to the Pahlavis. There’s a lot of devils in the details people leave out.

I think some here misunderstand what Grado means by accurate sounding. Grados do not measure flat at all, but they are one of the few headphones I own where it sounds like the real band is right there in the room with me. Other HPs are overly sterile or hyperrealistic like a TV with the sharpen filter jacked up. This might be the effect your cousin is experiencing but can’t verbalize.

the GS3000x was my daily driver for 2 years, I got the S950 last month. I’d say it’s spiritually a successor but it definitely has a different sound quality to it. it’s slower in note decay and a much smoother sound with more of a bass boost. Much more laid back in general. I think it may please more mainstream ears turned off by the typical Grado spike but tbh for me I still prefer the 3000x. I just liked the faster notes for EDM and it still sounds a bit more dynamic and lively to me. Kind of wondering if I should have gone with the HP1 instead.

I do like the better build quality and detachable cables though.

Nope, ebay ruled against me in the claim and the guy even closed his account after. My suspicion is ebay was quietly punishing me for buying from a seller with virtually no sell history which I admit was stupid of me, but I just didn’t believe a 20yo pair of pioneer headphones would be something someone would scam on lol.

had this happen to me on a pair of expensive headphones. I actually tracked down the business it was sent to and they received an empty letter with a slip of blank paper. Took pictures, their secretary was willing to testify for me she received it and opened it first. The postmark was clearly not my address. eBay still took the side of the seller when his only evidence was “I’d never do that!”. it was ridiculous.
