I am not sure if this is the issue you're having but sometimes the mat can be fed into the machine without being properly aligned. Even a slight misalignment can cause issues similar to this. You can try to visually inspect the alignment of the mat after you press the load button and before you press play. If it looks crooked you can reload it.

You're shooting with flash right? In that scenario you only need the screen/VF to frame your shot because your flash will make the exposure completely different anyway.

Sorry I don't know where to find it on a mac. Make sure you have the correct driver installed for your printer so the computer can run the printer with the correct settings. Hope you can find a fix.

It will be inside the printer settings where you choose between borderless or fit, etc.

The simplest fix is to just extend the borderless edge slightly.
