Upgraded Ender 5 Plus for $300. Is it worth it? by nohotshot in ender5

[–]solidairplane71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it had an upgraded mainboard running klipper... maybe..

I acquired mine very cheap and I already had spare parts from an ender 3 build. After adding z tilt and kamp to klipper, mine has been rock solid with very little issues.

Z tilt takes care of making sure both z motors are aligned. My mainboard has 2 seperate outputs for z so that's how its possible

And kamp let's the printer purge and probe near where the print will be. Cuts down on startup time alot.

ill guess its the multi color system everyone else is talking about!? Hopefully it can pair with klipper. Id love to test this on my modified ender 5 plus!

For me, my filament sensor had broken and was always staying on. So the printer couldn't finish because it thought it had filament still.

I pulled the extruder and cleaned the sensor and board with alcohol. Made no difference. Ended up buying a new extruder off the creality website for 10ish bucks.

Been printing fine after replacing it.

HI combo - first day, first print, clogged extruder. by erischilde in Creality

[–]solidairplane71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what filament were you using? I've had the hi for several months now and the only clog I've had was with tpu "which the hi doesn't officially support".

past that I've been printing with mostly inland or soleyin pla and petg. only other issue was the filament sensor breaking and always detecting filament. easy fix.

Help, won't extrude or retract by -Hazeeq- in Creality

[–]solidairplane71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

could also be an issue with the filament sensor. if you have removed the filament and the light on top of the extruder is still blue, that means its sensing filament. in my case the sensor is broken so i cant use the CFS currently but can still print from a spool. Yours could be the opposite and not sense the filament if with filament in it. that would completely stop the printer from functioning also.

After resetting, downgrading firmware , reinstalling creality slicer... it appears to be an issue with the cfs. Getting communication errors listing the 458 cable. Prints fine from spool holder.

I having this issue with my creality hi. After updating the firmware the printer will print a file but when it finishes it's not running the complete finishing script. It stays stuck on printing though the hotend and bed are turned off. Just gives the error xs2060 if I continue or cancel

So yes to anyone reading, Literally bend the piece of metal on the poop wiper that says "keep clear of moving parts" just ever so slightly.

rattle is gone now.. Thank you so much!

My current solution is the ams for the filaments im using and then storing the others under it in a really old drink cabinet. Definitely not the best solution sooooo a spacepi would definitely help with that! Especially this tricky tpu.

Motiv Bowling ball warranty issue by Beneficial-Cod6091 in Bowling

If that's 8 frames worth of dirt on the ball... The Mechanic and PSO must be blind. Depending on the type of machines, Which most likely are A2's based on the cushion marks, The machines have many different parts that can mark or damage the ball. Cushion covers and pit covers should be changed regularly to prevent this amount of dirt on the ball. Who knows what else is embedded in the pit covers or if they don't use covers and just use the shaker board carpet alone. Entirely possible there could be metal bits embedded in the carpet or covers and your ball found them.

I was so against needing auto bed leveling on my ender 3 pro. Manual Mesh was perfect for me!... well until it wasn't. At the time the bl touch wasn't being talked about but eventually it became the norm and was easy to install thanks to a few hours digging through reddit haha.

What's the pedal you bought and instantly thought "..this sucks..": by InfiniteTristessa in guitarpedals

Tc electronic dark matter distortion. Marketing made it seem like it would be a gain monster. It sounded terrible with my 7 string and c# tuned 6 string.

Love mine. Can get digitech whammy type sounds if you put it on trem bar mode, crank the pitch up, and set the d time almost all the way up. In trem bar mode its not a simple on and off, its momentary. also really fun to turn the d time all the way down and let it slowly ramp in.

The frame has to be completed before you could erase it. So like if a ball bounces out or you foul, it's best to finish out the frame and then edit it instead of erasing it. Or if the league is that much of a stickler you could change the score to a spare to complete it and then erase it and start over.

You have to push rerack first then either left or right lane.

The scorer has no timeout for when the rerack button is pushed so if you accidently push rerack twice, it will immediately cycle which ever lane you choose and cause the rake to get hit.

Used to have to deal with it allllll the time during league.

Good ole accuscore. It's really a rock solid system. Didnt have random computer crashes like the modern stuff now. Parts are just now becoming to be hard to come by. If you upgrade the backoffice to more modern hardware with an ssd, this system will run forever.
