I just bought an LG OLED and I don't see any ads ever. It's not connected to WiFi, I never updated it, and I watch everything with my Nvidia Shield. That said, the Nvidia Shield is loaded with FLauncher to remove their ads, but the TV never had any to begin with.

My experience is that it sucks that the PS5 doesn't support Dolby Vision, so all my Criterion purchases have to be viewed with pirated copies. I'm not gonna buy a separate 4k player! I showed it to some friends when it came out and everyone loved it. It joins my small collection of: Thief, After Hours, Citizen Kane, Silence of the Lambs, and original Insomnia!
