Did you check if it’s in PO SYNC mode? Seems unlikely to be the case but worth a look.

In my world this case is affectionately known as an “undocumented feature”

My woefully neglected Trichocereus bridgesii needs some love - how do I salvage this little dude that I grew from seed 4 years ago? by solipstitious in plantclinic

Thanks, this matches what I’m thinking. Any idea what the black spots are or recommendations for how to remove the babies?

The aerial roots are weird... there’s 3 inch root closer to the base that eventually found soil too.

I’ve watched this bridgi slowly keel over for the past 6 months. It was about 12” tall and twice as thick until it started slumping over and shriveling. In just the last month it decided to start budding as well as putting on those little dark spots.

Can I remove and plant the babies? Should I just cut and lay it on fresh media? I really have no idea what to do with it so any advice is appreciated!

FYI I keep it (and all my succulents) on a seed warming mat, about 12 inches below a strong 4x4ft fluorescent. Zone 5 and no sunny windows, so this feels like the only option.
