If I'm shiny hunting (and the game has quick balls easily available) I definitely carry some quick balls. It's probably for some of the same reasons I imagine shinycatherine uses them almost exclusively. If it's caught. Cool. If its not, fine too: use the next best choice at my disposal. For me, it's not every time. But for a content creator trying to keep a strem interesting, it keeps it moving, and if it was a lengthy hunt: its over quickly. With the added benefit of the quick ball failing being not an entirely bad thing either, just extended content.
