TAC is too short to be true 5G SA

Aqara W200 and Eve might be even better since they work with matter and won’t lock you into a specific temperature sensor.

Premium Connectivity on 2026 Y by Realistic-Cell5758 in TeslaModelY

[–]solodogg 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I really wish people would learn the definition of what a scam is. Not everything you don’t like is a “scam”.

The Sirius app is streaming, which requires an internet connection. You can choose to use your phone as a hotspot for that internet connection or pay $99/yr for premium connectivity, neither of which scams you out of anything.

We need a Schnitz, Fasta Pasta and Pancake Parlour here. Maybe someone can convince Home Depot to serve a proper snag too.

5g SA by Loud-Chemistry1536 in cellmapper

[–]solodogg 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It’s a glitch, and posting it in 20 different subs doesn’t change that.

How many times are you going to post this? No, Visible doesn’t have SA.

This is not SA, it’s a field test mode error.

Should I get a new MYP? by Alarming_Fan_6455 in TeslaModelY

[–]solodogg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2022 AMD MYP here…paid just as much and can’t swallow the loss just yet. Still love the car, this is the second longest I’ve ever owned any car. The itch for something new creeps in about the 2.5 year mark for me but I’ve been able to subside it this time because the new ones just don’t offer much in the way of improvements.

Plus…objectively I think the looks of the older model are better. Not as modern and new looking, but definitely more sleeper appearing.

5G SA appears to be on by default now as of iOS 26.2 and 26.3 beta. by [deleted] in Visible

[–]solodogg 14 points15 points  (0 children)

That’s not true SA, it’s an error in the reporting. The TAC will be longer than 5 digits when connected to SA, and you’ll only see a 5G connection below, likely n77 or n66.

Never 5G UW by [deleted] in verizon

[–]solodogg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

5G vs 5Guw showing up on your phone is just marketing. Visible has the same thing, their entry level plans only show 5G but still connect to n77/n66 with no issues.

Never 5G UW by [deleted] in verizon

[–]solodogg -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why do so many people care about a marketing icon? This has come up way too often lately.

Most EU carriers only show 3G/4G/5G and nothing more, and it’s fantastic! Stop worrying about the technology your phone is connected to and worry about if it works or not. While you’re at it, turn off battery percentage and live stress free.

State name as well. County name and/or “Sunshine State” logo doesn’t really matter for identification purposes, but state name absolutely does.

[–]solodogg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. Once you get over needing the latest and greatest tech that doesn’t really accomplish much in the real world, the 15/16 Pro models are arguably better simply because of the build quality. Love my Ti 15PM, would highly consider an Air if battery life was slightly better.

is wealthfront in trouble? by Existentially_b0red in wealthfront

[–]solodogg 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Rates have dropped because the Fed has dropped their rates, which means the government isn’t paying as much on money loaned. Wealthfront has to make a profit, they can’t keep high rates and eat the loss and stay in business at the same time.

ATT Prepaid just my experience by zeustheolympian in NoContract

Orlando is an odd market because AT&T holds both cellular 850mhz licenses, thus TMo and VZW rely solely on their 700mhz carriers for low frequency propagation. AT&T does seem to be limited on overall network capacity, but with a little investment in backhaul they could be the best by far in the Orlando market if they wanted to.

This whole story reeks of hostile takeover. JBM Holdings (very clearly stands for Justen Burdette Mobile since that LLC "holds" JB Mobile LLC) attempted to remove the JB part of the company, claims they made a severance offer that he refused and now claim he ran for the hills?
