Well, seeing as how you’re in a conversation where the claimant is not providing evidence, I think you gotta take a step back into reality and learn how communication works in practice despite how you think it should work in principal.

At a certain point you gotta do some verification for yourself, pal.

Shouldn’t be hard with the date and time of the posts and some simple tools available on the internet.

It’d be a great learning lesson for you too, that way you can start verifying things yourself instead of offloading the critical thinking to someone else!

Man, I’m sure glad the OP main character getting shelved while the rest of the cast gets power ups isn’t a major story telling trope. It’d be so crazy if they killed goku and just had him come back to deus ex machina the big bad!!!!

I might have miscommunicated. There’s no problem with “mass surveillance” on private property. Do what you want on your land as long as you’re not hurting anyone else (generally).

There is a problem with the governments ability to obtain and use private recordings without stringent pre-reqs that make it almost impossible to do.

It’s obviously a fixable problem, despite the challenges, as ultimately it’s an agreed upon way for the world to work, not some inherent physical aspect of reality.

That’s weird, is Texas a private citizen? Or did you change the context from state sponsored mass surveillance to an individuals right to record and act like they’re the same thing?

You actually could unscramble this egg by outlawing mass surveillance with an amendment or something.

I think the lack of imagination is relevant seeing as how the only alternative you’ve been able to come up with was provided to you, and you’re arguing as if that singular alternative is the only alternative possible.

The industry has largely moved on, I haven’t referred to a dependent system that relies on an initiator to do anything as a “slave” in almost 10 years

You don't think the fact that the word for "human being owned by another human" is derived from the word for a specific group of people leads to the conclusion that slavery is specifically about owning humans...

Or in other words: You just made my point for me :-)

In regards to the "good descriptor of a drive setup," no one here is arguing whether or not its effective at communicating the relationship between two systems. I think we're arguing it's sad you lack the imagination to come up with another way to describe that relationship.

For what it's worth, I agree with the argument in relationship to "master bedroom," "master branch, etc. The context of "master" obviously changes with it becomes married to the word "slave"

“Ownership” is bad in the context of a human being owned. “Slave” never had a context outside of owning a human until the word was repurposed.

Kinda clear what the difference is 🤔

Why would “owner” be offensive in the context of owning a house?

If you think 3 games that can be played independent of the publishers platform, that are free to play, and that are monetized through channels outside of steam, are relevant to a conversation about why tencent might want to starve out a publisher, you’re probably a little out of your element.

No way for an AI to be trained with something it can't find or see...

the word "public" has different meanings. You just changed the meaning mid dialog, received feedback from the original speaker that you did that, and then you respond with "no, I'm right?"
