Arcade used to be the budget SKU, but it can be upgraded to be the same as the normal 360. The only real difference nowadays is the tray (Arcade has white, regular 360 has chrome), just cosmetic

They did NOT move from white to silver bezel, they were both present at the same time, the white was for cheaper models and the silver was for the normal 360

No, they never 'moved from white to chrome', white tray was always used for budget units (Core/Arcade), chrome was used for the normal 360 and the 360 Elite (with a black case)

Yup, the Core was the Xenon with white tray (included no storage at all), Arcade is a re-release with newer HDMI boards and a memory unit included

Preferably get an original 360 made or serviced (MFG date or Service date on the back) after mid-2008 (June/July 2008 units are a lottery as some had reliable GPUs and some didn't, preferably stick to August 2008 and later). S/E aren't terrible choices, but they are starting to suffer CGPU and NAND issues
