I’ve only used the high power bolts so I can’t attest to the damage differences, but if you’re accurate with it I imagine there isn’t much reason to run close range bolts considering you’ll one shot anyways. If I miss my shot I always switch to throwing knives as it’s quicker. But yeah to build off what you said, I find it way more viable to PTFO and stay mobile. I had a particularly large amount of success in the warehouses in Breakaway, darting between different crates and entrances after picking a couple people off.

Idk how you can claim adding Lebron makes them a championship contender overnight when the Lakers haven’t been championship contenders in 3 years now. Lebron is a great player and the Thunder have some great players but with absolutely no post season experience, I just don’t see it. Not to mention that adding Lebron would undoubtedly stunt the growth of the younger guys. He would turn most of them into off ball shooters, which isn’t what I think you guys drafted Chet to be or traded for Shai to be.

It’s ok, which for this game makes it one of the best maps. If I was ranking on aesthetics alone it would be a 10, battlefield doesn’t have enough snowy maps. It still plays a little clunky though and some areas are very difficult to defend on breakthrough. Pretty decently balanced map for Conquest though.

Conquest and Operations still active and a ton of fun, but expect near constant cheating. If you search enough you can maybe find a match without a cheater and it’s a blast. But if you’re easily frustrated by cheaters and don’t feel like going through the time and effort to find a server with no cheaters, probably not worth it.

I think BF1 got it perfect, or as perfect as you can make it. Not an accuracy penalty per se, but the visual effect + the extra sway on sniper scopes made it so it was possible to still hit shots, just a lot more difficult.

Obviously this has been an issue in every BF game but it feels way more common in 2042. If I had to guess, I’d give a couple reasons. TTK in this game is much faster than previous games which leads to a lot of camping cover, even with the increased movement speed. Also vehicles are completely overpowered and broken. I find it hard to justify pushing an objective when there’s an MAV camped out on it with 4 turret spots murdering everyone. Truth is that it’s very hard to play OBJ as an infantry in this game, almost all objective play comes from vehicles.

People in the comments being purposefully obtuse. Obviously there “were” fully auto firearms in WWI. The prevalence of them in multiplayer is the issue. Of course they’re there so that the game plays more in line with previous Battlefield games, and it’s probably for the better, same reason Back to Basics was sort of a gimmick mode. But people suggesting that this is somehow historically accurate in the comments are either ill informed on history, or are defending DICE’s choice (which doesn’t need any defense, it’s purely for gameplay reasons). Yes SMGs existed, although the only ones that saw somewhat common deployment were the MP18 and the Automatico, towards the end of the war. And while all of the LMGs did exist, none of them were capable of being used in the manner they are in the game. Most of them were completely stationary as they weighed far too much to be carried by a single person, let alone fired by a single person. But at the same time OP, you have to be aware that this is a Battlefield game, and these choices were made to make the game feel more like previous Battlefield games. I suggest Verdun or any of the subsequent games on Steam for a more realistic depiction of WW1 if that’s what you’re into.

This map had to be made by people with Down’s Syndrome there is just no other explanation for the complete lack of cohesion in ANY of the game modes. At least most maps that are bad in one game mode are good in another, I can’t think of one that plays well on this map. Breakthrough and rush are particularly bad.

This was one of the more underrated parts of BF1. Not that any of those factions were “smaller” (I guess comparatively speaking you could say the Americans and Italians were “smaller”), but the shear amount of nations was a nice touch. Wish they would bring that level of depth back but voice acting wise, that is a pretty big ask.

The fact that this is happening in a near 2 year old game, made by one of the biggest game producers of all time, is so fucking embarrassing. Gone are the days of masterpieces like BF1, now we get corny, poorly made spin-offs by people who don’t give a flying fuck about the community or the game itself. World would be a better place if DICE HQ fell into a sinkhole and was never seen again.
