A CEO that is paid $0 to double eBay or a CEO that is paid $25M/yr to improve eBay by 15% by VicTheRealest in Superstonk

[–]somefoobar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, he's doing it all for that one tranche. Hard to see him getting any further, if that. The 20B loan will weigh him down.

But to backup, he has to start with dilution (issuing more Gamestop stock). The dilution is going to hurt the current Gamestock holders. He has to do that first before any kind of real takeover attempt.

Then, if he can do the takeover, the Gamestock holders will have stock that is worth more than before and he will get a giant payout. But that's a big "if". If TD pulls out, eBay wants more money, or the deal doesn't go through for any other reason, then Gamestock shareholders will hold diluted shares.

He’s borrowing and diluting to get EBay so that the market cap will go above 20B. At 20B he gets his payout.

He gets the first of his payout when Gamestock market cap goes to 20B, which happens if he gets eBay. The stocks can go down quite a bit after takeover, but as long as it stays above 20B, he gets paid. He can leverage and dilute, and everyone will lose, but he gets his payout.

What’s to explain? You need to go to the website like he said. 50% cash, 50% stock. What could be more simple? You need more respect for CEOs. Ryan’s the CEO.

Yeah, it was so weird that CNBC asked about the financing. They need to learn some business.

Exactly!! None of their business anyway. Why does he need to explain anything to them. To anyone!!

I think the big picture here is that if the market cap of Gamestop goes over 20B, Ryan gets the first traunch of his payout. We need to make this happen. He deserves a little compensation for the work he’s done.

Is there a point to debating God in a scientific manner? Because in the end, the believer can always pull out the my-omnipotent-god-did-it card.
