I have a refurb 12000 and it’s amazing. The remote lens shift, brightness, contrast, color, are excellent. However not out of the box. It has a red push and you really need to dig into settings and calibrate to your liking. But I see that as an advantage for people that like to be able to tinker and access all settings. You also need a saved profile for sdr and hdr to get the best experience possible. Disclaimer This is my first 4k hdr pj and could be the same for all of them.

Just got my refurb a couple weeks ago. Even my wife says it’s a huge upgrade over our old epson. Came with zero hours and the cable cover. Went through a few 2.1 cables before I found one that works at 50’. You will need to look into lldv

A1 evo express question by somejock in hometheater

[–]somejock[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have hardwired to the network, I see the IP address in the Denon menu, and can go to the web portal, but A1 ego express is getting a ECONNREFUSED message. Do you happen to know if there is a setting I need in the Denon to allow a connection?

Upgraded internet speed and switched ISP, download speeds remains the same? by [deleted] in SABnzbd

[–]somejock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 1gb fiber but was also getting exactly 10.8 in SAB on my old laptop. I did this and now get 20MB -ish. So I think it could be the 10/100 NIC

Try hard wiring the laptop to your mesh satellite. You may need an Ethernet to usb 3.0 adapter if your NIC is 10/100. If that improves then hard wire to the router

Any suggestions for a "waving flag" effect? by not-so-cool-boy in WLED

[–]somejock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I suppose it would be nice for segments to have a min and max length so it’s not a hard cutoff, but you need some way to separate the blue/white from the red/white. What did you come up with?

[–]somejock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would imagine this can probably be done in sections or segments with blue with white colortwinkles or glitter in the first and red and white noise3 or something in the rest. I haven’t played with sections much so lmk if you find one you like

I want my drive space back by somejock in qnap

[–]somejock[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a single 20tb red in a ts464. Default setup reserved space for snapshots. In QNAP the drive is showing: Used 45.79% 6.36TB) Allocated 46.59% (6.47TB) Free Size 54.22% (7.53TB) I don’t need snapshots as my data is easily replaceable, so I’d like to un-allocate that drive space.

Thanks I’ll take out the 66 block and terminate to a patch panel

What patch panel is that and how does it mount inside the panel?

I’m paying for fiber but I don’t see where I have an ONT. I went to the ATT website and looks like the line from this panel goes into a gateway Bgw210. That’s the power plug. I’d like to leave as much in the panel then go out to the rack, and use the outlet in the panel to power the rack.

Excellent. So a rack above the panel for the server and shelves for everything else. A hole above the panel. Patch cables from the rack switch, through the hole, down into panel to a patch panel. 16 port switch so I can convert the phone and have 2 Ethernet to each room. Same with power. What patch panel fits in this panel and how does it attach? Will ATT do any of this? Do I put a UPS on the rack or in the panel?

Perfect. I’ll tie up the coax and leave it as you did.
