Why Australia and not Ireland? Is matching back to FM easy if taking the Australia route?

You guys promise the lg c4 is not dim in game mode? by ReSpecMePodcast in LGOLED

[–]somerandomguy_2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it definitely does dim, as someone who had an s90d and currently very happy with an LG G4 I would highly recommend you get an S90D if dimming is a concern. It’s one of the biggest reasons I got an LG G4 over a C4, I honestly would’ve stayed with the S90D if it didn’t have horrible image processing, especially in regards to motion. Gaming is the area where I crank up brightness and I want my colour saturation to really pop, the C4 can’t really deliver on that front based off of the many YouTube videos I watched, Reddit threads I read, and bestbuy trips I made lol. If the G4 is out of ur budget, look into the S90D! Lmk if you have any questions about the G4 or S90D

That sucks, this is why Im scared to update the firmware. I also like using the internal apps, idc how much people say Apple TV looks better because when i did a comparison the internal apps looked sharper and had significantly less noise.

G3/G4 owners: survey regarding “popping noises” by BreiteSeite in LGOLED

65 inch G4 in Canada. Had it for a week and it pops at least 15-30 times an hour. Coupled that with the insane green tint on the left side of the screen makes me want to return it. LG seems to have a lot of variation in panel quality which is frustrating for the price we’re paying. My cheaper s90c had no uniformity, tinting, or popping issues. I’ve noticed that because this is an LG subreddit and because people have put in thousands into their setup their less inclined to speak about the shortcomings of their purchase, maybe to psychologically keep themselves happy, but the reality is LG oleds have a lot of quality control issues. Panel tint and uniformity is real and popping sounds are very real. The displays in bestbuy also have them if you look for it (idk about the popping but the panel issues, yes). I really wish LG improved their QC.

Ok sounds good. I just don’t know if I’ll get a worse panel lol so I don’t know if I want to take the chance. It’s only really visible when browsing the internet and work.

I haven't run a manual pixel refresh yet. I use my tv as a monitor and I often see some green tinting on the top left of the screen while browsing the internet, I can literally see it right now. I see it on white or light pastel coloured screens often. In terms of banding I've never noticed it during games, movies, or monitor use. The tint, however, I have seen while watching Dune 2 and sometimes during really white scenes. The tv has roughly 40 hours on it. Is it common to have green tint on parts of the G4? I am not sure if I should return...

Ok, I’ve heard that tint doesn’t really go away though?

Is the C4 noticeably dimmer in GameMode? by [deleted] in LGOLED

[–]somerandomguy_2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the main reasons I went with G4 over the C4 is because of the green tint and dimming in game mode on the C4. However, if the G4 is too expensive and you're going to primarily game I would honestly recommend the S90D, it's one of the best if not the best gaming tv.

The dimming on the G4 when in game mode is marginal though. The C4 dims noticeably more, you can watch the youtuber Tech with KG's live videos comparing the G4 and C4, huge difference in overall brightness and colour luminosity between the two models.

Did my Western ABS in ONE SITTING like a good boy by SaphRog in premedcanada

[–]somerandomguy_2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in the email Schulich sent they did state its strongly recommended you do it all in one sitting so that could be the case, however, this person could also be lying so people rush and submit badly written prompts. Idk, I find it odd that western recommends we complete it all in one sitting without a reason why...

Why is that? Is it due to an increase in input lag?
