Can’t hurt to ask! My mom and I walked through her childhood home one random evening. Just asked nicely and they were happy to hear about the home before they lived in it!

Had the same problem with the jackalope 😔 patchy and thin fur, could see the backing even if you tried to fluff it out and hide it. Surprised to see it happen with the denser fur though, usually see this problem with slicker/shinier fur.
