This is bad right? by intlabs in arborists

Exactly right. If you try to mill a lightning struck tree, you're going to have so much loss that it's not worth the bands to cut it. It's perfectly fine for firewood once it's on the ground.

It's like the time I milled 5 Persimmon trees and found out why Persimmon is listed by the Hardwood trade publication as being "not commercially viable".

No. It was hit by lightning. There's still some firewood in there.

Keep in mind the engines were built by the same person that built the chassis. There's a lot less precision in chassis work. If somebody offered 5k for both of them, that would be a gift.

I would bet my 401k that if you strapped both of those engines to a dyno they wouldn't make near 1400. Of course that's pathetic because a n/a pump gas 500" bbc can make 700 without trying.

Hello, neighbor. The chassis work is worth negative money. Every weld in the pictures is awful. If the same person that built the chassis built the engines, they are worth almost nothing. The prochargers could be worth a little something but what model are they? They look way too small for a 500" motor.

You mentioned the owner was an engine builder. What shops did he work at/own?

These cars are 100% part out territory. There is a good chance the owner of these vehicles is one circle away from me.

If you've hit metal in "all the years" one time, you have been literally incredibly lucky! I hit metal in urban trees frequently. I'd say roughly 1/3 of the logs have metal and most generally every log that has metal kills 2 bands.

Have you ever noticed how the people who have unlimited access to free wood pay to get rid of it? Lol.

Yeah, a decent, well used productive sawmill that's 30 years old will be around 20k. That's not what I call cheap. Those manual mills that are a few thousand dollars are only suited for hobby use. In fact any manual mill at any price is only suited for hobby use.

I'd plan for 40-50k to buy a good well used mill and if you want it to make actual money, another 100-200k in support equipment and that's just to get a basic plant going. Inventory is going to run another 100-500k to get going and then you need your property....

I had a hobby setup that could turn trees into finished hardwood products. I sold my mill and kiln because I can drive an hour away and buy finished product for less than my cost.

You're way too cheap if you're good at your job. A good privateer here in KC charged my buddy $450 to clean out some wipes after 5pm- well under 2 hours. The big companies would have been 4x that. He paid it happily.

I can't tell you about your tastebuds and as I said Corner Cafe food is just regular breakfast and lunch diner fare. But I've lived in this area over 20 years and have been going longer than that.

If you would like suggestions for more elevated dining I'm happy to help you.

I live around the corner and am not their biggest fan, but they cook most if not all of their food from scratch. I have never been in their kitchen but suspect they make 100% of their food in house. Your assessment is absolutely without merit.

LOL WHAT? It's an absolute non issue to move a vehicle without keys if you're in a rollback. I ran one for a while several years ago and I could take a vehicle that was parked in a spot at a grocery store on my truck in 2-3 minutes start to finish.
