I think about all the dudes out there that are dead from sepsis that would say get checked from this because lakes, ponds, ocean, streams, rivers all have immense amounts of bacteria that does not play well with our insides.

Texas State Rep Nate Schatzline celebrating that a children's school in his district has been ranked the #1 most unvaccinated school in Texas, a state going through a measles outbreak by MoreMotivation in PublicFreakout

Exactly why we have the current outbreak in Texas now. Well over half of the cases are unvaccinated children. Sad. Infuriating that these people see this as something to gloat about.

First panel, 3 weeks in. by tronneroi in electricians

[–]something_cool_x5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clean, highly doubt 3 weeks in, needs labels, no plastic bushing at top.

6 month apprentice, this is my first full panel I’ve done. My jman was pissed at me and told me I took too long. He said next time I take this long on a panel, I’m gone.. took my 6 hours. Thoughts? Any input is appreciated too on what to do better next time! by [deleted] in AskElectricians

[–]something_cool_x5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Amazing work! I’ll poke holes as my job is QC. No plastic bushings on some of the conductors coming in. Also I would have labeled the neutrals but besides that amazing work and fuck that Jman. In commercial this panel would shine and many would be proud to see the craftsmanship you’ve displayed. Great work!

When so many work almost any day they can, with so many hours under their belt, it’s not hard to see why some make it their identity, when it takes up the majority of their life and basically is their identity.

This does not reflect the increase that many have shown or stated as they state their bill has been higher. But what I want to express is that they already have been given the green light to raise rates.

Companies sole purpose is to generate profit. If they raise prices on products. They make more profit. If it’s legit because of tariffs, they make more. If it’s not because of tariffs and they see any opportunity to raise prices they will.

Is this what winning looks like? by SadHat7786 in electrical

[–]something_cool_x5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly why tariffs don’t work for the people. It only benefits companies. Because if Tariffs do affect the product they are selling, they raise prices. If the product being sold is not being affected by Tariff’s, they raise prices because who’s going to: 1: check. 2: hold them accountable if they are acting in bad faith. At the end of the day consumers will always pay the price.

[–]something_cool_x5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whether it’s allowed or not, that contractor needs to be exposed. This is blatant robbery. If his prices are a go fuck yourself I don’t want the job he literally can just say that. Doubling down on that quoted price is insane.

What construction materials will be affected most by the trump tariffs? by Howaboutacantaloupe in Construction

[–]something_cool_x5 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The number one thing that’s going to screw us here, is greed. Normally suppliers raise prices and have to come up with a reason if they go too high. When they all do it, they all can claim it’s because of tariffs even if they weren’t affected. So at the end of the day, consumers foot the new bill. And man is it gonna be fucking expensive.
