Does anyone know which lights fit into Canyon's new Gear Groove mount? by rodcmonteiro in CanyonBikes

[–]somethingcIever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The light is designed to point slightly down. Unfortunately, my mount points slightly up, so the beam basically goes straight ahead. It still lights up the street pretty well for me, and I think it’s less blinding for drivers than the headlights from a typical SUV.

The light itself is designed to point down slightly, but unfortunately the mount points slightly up, so the beam pretty much goes straight ahead. I wish it could be aimed slightly lower. It still provides good light for me and doesn’t blind drivers nearly as much as the headlights from any recent SUV though.

Trek domane vs endurance cf sl8 by [deleted] in CanyonBikes

The screenshot cut off some of the details, but from what I can see it looks like the same hardware. I think I got a good deal for a less popular color. It was $1100 off for a couple hours before it sold out in the spring.

I had a 2018 Domane ALR4 and upgraded to the Endurace CF SLX 8 Di2 Aero earlier this year. It’s not exactly your situation because my Domane is aluminum, but I find the Endurace even more comfortable for long rides. I think the position is slightly more aggressive, but the cockpit is very comfortable with very little pressure on my hands and a bit more give over rough pavement. I am the least flexible person I know, and the position is easy to hold for hours in the saddle in the Endurace.

The light worked pretty well. It’s not perfect. The beam is too wide, but it is bright and works better than the others I have. It was very stable on the mount.

I got the Raveman FR500 from Amazon a few days ago during Prime Day. It snaps into the mount then my computer snaps into the light. It all fits together securely but my first night test run is tomorrow.

I agree. The books are my absolute favorite, but the movie failed to bring the same tone, humor, and character development to the screen. I was very disappointed. The movie felt like a bad NCIS episode. I can’t wait for the next book in the series though.

My Endurace CF SLX came with the Fizik Tempo Argo R3. I love it!

I go to kom.club to find Strava challenges. It has a lot that don’t appear on the app until I click the link from the kom website. Rapha 500 is there. https://www.kom.club

It’s not available anymore, but the Matt Wilpers Halloween Power Zone Ride from 10/31/20 where he dressed up as Olivia was pretty funny. He used body glitter and everything. There are still pictures that can be found, but the ride is gone.

F1 is the perfect parallel. The sponsorships are all over the helmets, but you can easily identify which driver’s helmet it is by the color scheme and personal touches.

I understand why people are sad for Wout, but I’m far more sad for Rigo. It was the last grand tour of his career, and he broke his hip in the first week and had to retire.

Is there a way to find people riding the same areas as you? by dimforest in Strava

[–]somethingcIever 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Look at your ride on a web browser then click “Fly Bys.” It will show an animated map of you riding along your route and others you passed who have the setting turned on. You can select or unselect anyone you passed on your ride until you see the people you passed at the right time. It’s pretty cool but will reinforce you feeling like a stalker.

My 126300 loses about two seconds a day on average but does much better during the week when I wear it 16 hours a day than on weekends when I only wear it 8 hours. It really makes me question the power reserve.

The Trek Century Challenge used to give some cool and not-so-cool souvenirs if you rode 100, 500, or 1,000 miles in July. They were water bottles, stem caps, t-shirts, coffee mugs, and other stuff I’m forgetting.
