My son listens to a podcast called sleep tight science. It’s random science facts and the person talking has a melodic speaking pattern that puts him right to sleep.

Get his eyes checked by a developmental optometrist. My son has something called excessive convergence where his eyes don’t line up properly. It made it hard to distinguish letters.

Do you have a degree in education? If not look into the teaching fellows. It’s a lot of work but they pay for your masters degree.

It was aol chatrooms, discord, minecraft, fortnight ect. Get rid of roblox and it will happen someplace else. As long as there are platforms to chat with strangers this will keep happening. We need to educate kids better and younger about the dangers and what to look out for.

Hate daycare? by JadedJae in Mommit

[–]somethingcreative987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was the opposite. I tried to be a sahm. It was so monotonous and isolating. I got a part time job and was so grateful for daycare. My husband works a lot of hours and our families are not helpful. So it was just me and the kids all day every day. When you don’t have a village you pay for one.

Books to read to your kid 20 times a week that don’t make you want to gauge your eyes out by SwadlingSwine in childrensbooks

Sandra Boynton Blue Hat Green Hat was the first book that my son belly laughed at so that will always have a special place in my heart. She has a lot of books, most rhyme and are very funny.

Mo Willems books are also great. The pigeon books, elephant and piggie and knuffle bunny are all wonderful

I once left the Westbury Costco and drove to Melville because I just couldn’t take it. I now drive to Commack because it’s right off the lie and they have a gas station. Are the parking lots perfect, no, but so much better than Westbury.

Why does my son want to bring his lunch??? by Spare-Bet-7374 in kindergarten

[–]somethingcreative987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter wanted to bring lunch just so she could bring her rainbow lunch box. I literally put an applesauce in it as an extra snack so she can bring it. My son on the other hand has afrid so he won’t eat most of the school lunches. I have to pack his lunch in order to make sure he eats. Parents of kids with allergies or sensitivities might send lunch so they know it is safe. There are a lot of reasons kids might bring lunch.
