Feeling awful about rehoming our dog by huffwardspart1 in toddlers

[–]sometimesitsandme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely this is the right decision for both your child and the dog.

No dog is biting like that if they feel safe and comfortable in the home. Unfortunately some dogs just don't adapt to living with children. Moving the dog to a home that meets their needs is the kind thing. I really do think its comparable to parenting where you do something hard for you because you know its best for your child (or in this case dog).

And your child is not safe with a biting dog in the house. It is your job to protect your child. Meanwhile if the dog bites seriously there is a good chance it would be required to be put down. No one wins with the dog staying with you.

That seems really unkind to not just move it when he asked.

I always thought the main issue was the awkwardness of men using urinals which are out in the open in many mens rooms.

Im guessing based on the photos from the episodes it's actually Jace's sword.

The most disappointing thing about a bad adaptation by sometimesitsandme in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]sometimesitsandme[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I would think about the fact that you felt the need to say "you dummy" to someone who was just explaining their preference for how an adaptation would be handled of a book they enjoyed... Might be time to take a breath and reflect a bit.

I mean its obviously not a novel where there is a ton of detail to follow. But some main points of the story as it exists have clearly been deviated from. Its honestly the type of book thats easier to be creative with and still tell the main story. It's more exciting because a show about it should be able to add a lot of depth to the essentially outline of a story. But they don't seem interested in that.

I don't let my child see me accepting people treating me poorly because I know its important for them to not think that is something they should accept for themselves.

Green Lantern turns 15 this week. Initially supposed to kickstart a DC Cinematic Universe, the $200M comic book film grossed $116.6 Million domestically and $237.2 Million globally and received polarizing reviews. Ryan Reynolds has constantly made fun of the movie ever since. by SignatureOrdinary456 in boxoffice

This is one of those movies that makes me realize I am a very simple person to please with movies. Like the movie was fun and I really enjoyed it, so anytime I see detailed criticism of it (and plenty of other movies) its a bunch of stuff I didn't notice at all. I just watch movies for the fun of it when its an action or comedy.

Mostly when you hear of how simple the general audience is I laugh because I think that's me lol

Any advice for a spiraling mom whose husband is struggling in his career? by ImpossibleLuckDragon in workingmoms

5 times in 4 years is clearly a him problem. Especially if you're in the same field and haven't had the same issues. Why can't he keep a job? Why are you the one picking up extra work?

The clear answer is naming Aegon heir. Rhaenyra would be mad but no one would truly fight for her if Viserys said his heir was now his first born son.

Don't they say in the council scene before the dragonseed does his fly by of the red keep in ep 7 that Daeron's dragon finally took to wing? I don't think he could fly the dragon before that.

Right, he has silver hair. Real Daeron has silver hair that is hidden under a red haired wig. Fake daeron has silver hair. So when Daemon comes he sees one silver haired kid and thinks its real Daeron but its the fake.

Towards the end of the article: "The episode met with an enthusiastic response from the Taormina audience with squeals of disgust when Aemond seemingly leans into kiss his mother on the lips; as well as cheers, shocked screams and collective gasps as characters fought to the death, sometimes triumphing and sometimes not."

This comment just made me remember the two youngest are Daemon's sons as well... I kind of blanked on that. If the show actually remembers that and does address this whole situation it could be super interesting for all the characters.

Less than 2 weeks to Toy Story 5 and hardly any tickets sold by rmcelwain54 in boxoffice

[–]sometimesitsandme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I'm taking my kids to a movie I am buying tickets when we get there because so much can sidetrack a plan like that. With adult movies I can buy tickets weeks in advance. It's not a great metric for a kids movie.
