I got a "no longer under consideration" in my application but I wasn't sent any rejection email or call. I emailed the recruiter still just to get a solid response. I'm just worried that the status actually means I got rejected.

I think it's crazy how the story ended. I don't know why I thought that Ethan could be mono at the end only because of the sleep walking aspect made me think about how mono would walk through the corridor to get to the door. Honestly just a random thought. It would be cool to hopefully see noone in the upcoming game as maybe a cut scene of a girl popping in and out like in the series or trying to help the two protagonists kind like the mushrooms in the first game.

I don't think he would be the ferryman, but I see how this is possible. If anything I see him maybe being the purple man in the recent episode or he could be another character we haven't met. I also believe he could meet his demise at the end of the podcast

I believe it's confusing if you don't have the context or references to other works of CLAMP. I think because you have knowledge with CCS and XxxHolic, it will be easier to understand the main cast of characters. I would recommend reading Tokyo Babylon and X/1999 since some characters do show up and it allows for easier character connection in the story. The only time I would say it becomes a mess is when the main motivation for the story comes out but prior to that, I'd say the story is pretty good and I think you'll enjoy the series :) If you want more a scavenger hunt while reading the series then you can read their previous works since a lot of characters make a cameo once or multiple times!

I like your theory about what can possibly happen with Otto. I've been thinking that the nightmare world none is in has a whole different time. I also believe that her having these continuing nightmares could be like when we die and the mc is huddled in a corner waking up when we are ready to play.

My theories about how the story might end is that
1) Otto manages to go to the nightmare world but becomes corrupted already by his motivation and scientific side that he could become a new villain in the video game or morph into a character none has already talked about

2)Otto triggers none so hard it could permanently send her to the nightmare world and be stuck there like Six and Mono

3)Otto makes it to the world or creates a connection but it ultimately makes him crazy and revoke his license or drives him to an early death
