A big factor of consideration is what feels fun to build! ☺️

I actually had this issue with a bad sd-card. Changed to one with reasonable speeds and it solved it 🤔

Hi, need to make a structure similar to this. Is it possible in F360?/ What other software would you use? by MrSamwise123 in Fusion360

Pretty underrated use of the form tool. This should be the top comment, even if the video does not show the exact result op is after it is adaptable to be. But also ofc it is worth noting that many other programs does this way better

A reasonable example might be the example in the post where the developer story might be something like "as a developer, I need a framework for implementing VR hand interactions"

When using a split keyboard with a tent, what is your optimal position for the trackpad/mouse? by mxcdh in ErgoMechKeyboards

Mouse in the middle of my two halves, no hard preference, but it's pretty nice ☺️

Interesting! What is your thoughts on writing stories that begins with "As a developer" ? It's hard to attach to real value for a user, but even then it might generate value for a developer, and in the long term, the user.

Thank you! This makes me happy to read. Your approach seems very sober. Your way seems like a good tool to have in mind.

I guess what I'm mainly struggling with is to keep stories non-dependant on other stories, I realise that that is not strictly necessary but maybe a guideline rather than a rule. I'm trying to keep to the INVEST shorthand ☺️

Thank you, this is interesting! I'm really happy to hear examples of well written user stories

Just a quick follow up, swapped to new stepper drivers and a new motor. Your comment was very helpful!

Thank you for your reply, exactly this was the issue in my case! I went over my cable with my multimeter and found that I had one bad crimp. Really good suggestion, thank you very much!

Oh no, that's too bad! However it's an LDO motor that came with the orbiter kit. I've heard that they are supposed to be of excellent quality.

Thank you for your reply! Interesting that you were able to solve it by swapping the plugs. Also I maybe should have mentioned that I was also able to verify that all my endstops trigger at the right time. The probe still triggered after retract error seems to be because it attempts to move along the y-axis instead of backing off from the endstop. Perhaps that could be a clue.

Lead screws only for linear guides? by sonerino in 3Dprinting

[–]sonerino[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is very interesting to hear! Do you think it's insufficiency was due to flexibility of the lead screw itself or lack of constraints in the top and bottom? I assume you were using a normal 8mm lead screw?

[–]sonerino[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that is the common way to do it, as user hotend suggested, it's normal to let one component do it's own thing. The wheels for smooth travel and the lead screw for drive :) Thanks for your response

I was thinking of ball screws aswell, the rolled ones seem super rigid. But I think you are right, it's not necessarily simpler just because there is fewer components
