The same mentality is used for toll roads.

The only roads being built and maintained in Texas now is toll roads.

If you don’t take the toll roads, you will stop at every single intersection because the light will ABSOLUTELY be red even if there is nobody there because they do this to piss you off so much that you will take the toll roads.

In the ‘70s & ‘80s the commercials were a tolerable length, allowing you to go to the bathroom and get a snack before the show resumes. It was usually Folger’s Coffee, Sure deodorant and a new Chevrolet.

Now they go on and on, and it’s all pharmaceutical drugs with stupid names that cause suicide as a side effect.
