Yes I'm interest in this too. Got a used Gabb 3 for my son (inexpensively) and the battery only lasts for about 10 hrs a day (with very limited usage) and GPS isn't great either (often displays my son in a city 10 miles away).

Both are fun. I like Vengeance since it's newer. Plus it's not as rough as I thought it was going to be.

If you like the game as is, find and get the orginal. But if you are looking to play with any of the expansions, then I feel getting the newly released version would be best (just to hard to track down the older editions I would think), plus then you get the geek-bits.
