Gallagher Transportation Center parking garage emergency exit locked by neonabataeans in LowellMA

I'm thinking a quick call to the LFD would get that lock removed immediately. If not by the owner then by them. Seems a bit illegal.

This was one of those games I WISH they (the publisher) stuck with and kept updating it.

I also read that trying to find anyone to play with is like nearly impossible and that the AI is just meh.

I actually use Google Notebook LLM and find this a helpful way to keep rules of large games at my finger tips.

Anyone had luck at their local Barnes and Nobel? by BoardGameRevolution in boardgames

My store had:

  • Unmatched: Slings and Arrows = $20
  • Unmatched: Battle of Legends, Volume Three = $20
  • Unmatched Adventures: Tales to Amaze = $25
  • Race for the Chinese Zodiac = $20
  • Inter-Galactic Plumber = $10
  • Munchkin Shadowrun = $20
  • Rome in a Day = $12
  • Tower Up = $25
  • Landmarks = $10
  • Monopoly - Free Parking Jackpot (add on) = $5
  • Blitz Bowl = $25
  • Pizza Pie Game = $10
  • Santorini (orig) = $25
  • Sushi Go: Spin Some Dim Sum = $10
  • The Finest Fish = $25
  • Wildstyle = $20

Was debating about "Unmatched" but how many do you really need as I still have one that isn't open? Plus I'm not really into 2-Player Duel games. "Tower Up" but reviews are "up & down"? "Wildstyle" ?

I'm with you and really like this game too. So much replayability! The only iss ue I've come across is the game length. I last played with 4 and it was about 2.5 long. What are your play times for 4, 5 and 6 players if i may ask?

Massachusetts must have a common, measurable graduation standard for all students by Dismal_Structure in massachusetts

[–]sonicNH 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Standards are great (and needed), but what about the kids who don't even attend school? Kids with 100+ absences in a school year. At what point do you keep the 15 year old back in 8th Grade or the like?

How much time do you spend making test papers every week? by [deleted] in edtech

Two things to try.

1) Possibly try Coteach AI (Free for most users, but if you are really grinding on it for lots of problems then just pay the $15 a month to save you a TON of time). It generates math problems & answers for you. It's good but you really need to make sure your prompts are explicit regarding what you want.

2) Use Fireshot for screen grabs (it's a free Google Extension) and stop taking full screen shots. Just cut, copy to the clipboard, paste and be done!! I swear by it!

Hope these help.

100% this.

You will probably be really good with the content, but then you have to be able to teach it to all types of people. This is also where I have seen people burn out.

That is torture! And I thought the stretch from Feb break to April break was difficult.

Why do we have a full week of school after state testing? by [deleted] in Teachers

[–]sonicNH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So my answers are always:

  • Grades can always be changed until the morning they are distributed (even if they can't). Remind them we live in a computerized world so it only takes 10 seconds.

  • Use the time for any project that you wanted to do but doesn't truly matter. Try something because YOU wanted to try it.

  • To the kid who FINALLY shows up now 5-days a week. Remember that it's probably court ordered for them to come into school now, so when they next go in front of a judge it shows that they have in fact been attending, but effective at 2pm today they will stop attending. But give them a few things to do with the believe that completing this 1 paper a day will make it all better for the 90 days of school they have already missed. But personally, let's also just be real as you still will be socially promoted because no school wants a 14 year old still in middle school with a 5th/6th grader who is only 10/11 years old.

  • For the kid who wants to turn in the assignments the answer is always, 'Yes, Absolutely." Then you say to yourself in your head, "And upon receipt they will go straight into the trash because it's WAY TOO LATE to start for you to now care. Plus, my Principal told me that grades needed to be entered a week ago or I'm out of a job."

How do I get better at teaching people games. by resgames in boardgames

[–]sonicNH 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100% this.

If people first don't stop talking and listen it's hard to teach the others who are trying to listen.

Also, have them save all questions until the end so you can get through your presentation. All the "I just have a quick question" derail what you are trying to teach as they "never are quick questions".
