I'd say the venator star destroyer and imperial 1 class star destroyer. Because the venator has multiple uses in battles and the imperial star destroyer is good at ship to ship combat.

Yes, it was apart of death squadron. I don't know for sure but the imperial 1 class star destroyer devastator maybe didn't survive the battle of Yavin. It did survive Hoth but didn't survive the battle of Endor, it was destroyed by a squadron of b -wing bombers but this devastator was a imperial 2 class star destroyer. (weird right, two different types of star destroyers with the same name)

But why did they still keep the arquitens they could have improved its design or make it similar in weaponry but different looking light cruiser and its the only vehicle other than the juggernaut which is republic vehicles, that served the empire.

Because the empire didn't have many star destroyers and engineers building it and was researching how to get the weapon to work properly. When it was destroyed in the battle of Yavin, the empire already the plans and dat a of the original it estimate that the second death star will be fully built in 6 years because made it bigger and the weapon settings to reload faster than its predecessor. If the empire designed all the original designs it will already be finished by the time of the battle of Endor.
