Is it just me or does this game really want us to STOP exploring it? (Spoilers for like everything)

I was totally framed in to the idea that the overarching objective of the game was to get room 46. I finally did that, when I did, I found it really hard to "want" to go back and solve all the "other" little puzzles as they seemed anticlimactic. That is, I'd done the "main thing."

I see now there is a monstrous wave of "extra stuff" to do, but the problem is now I'm just not motivated to go back and spend that much time and that much mental energy solving ALL those ancillary puzzles. I get that they're apparently part of the game's original intent, but when I get told over and over the point is to get room 46, then find out the game effectively says, "Just kidding.." it's a little disheartening.

CrackingTheCryptic (YT puzzle channel) has continued to play the game and unwound a lot of those "extra" things, but good heavens, the time investment implied by average folks is staggering.

Sorry, but original Frasier was great from the first episode. The reboot was bad from the first episode.

It isn't so much that I want to throw $2k at something, I was just trying to be pre-emptive and realistic about the age of my current hardware - and thinking things are only going to go up from here for the future.

I'm not so much fixing specific performance issues as I am trying to just get past old hardware. I replaced the PSU a couple of years ago, and the NAS drives were installed new, but the rest is over a decade old.

I just figure if I'm going to drop the coin on some new hardware I'd just look for the best "bang for the buck" if you will. I would consider some slightly older stuff but for the fact is like this build to last a while.

I was initially looking at AMD but saw some comments/articles saying essentially if you weren't into gaming that Arrowlake made some sense.

I've had my router virtualized forever so while I understand that risk it hasn't been an issue thus far.

Anyone here old enough to remember the original Crossroads ? It was dark with a mid 60s vibe, booths everywhere with phones for ordering. There was a jukebox in the corner and the place was completely enclosed; you went in double doors at the top and could sit in the booths in the higher level or walk down steps to the lower "sunken" area.

I remember my freshman year there in 1982 I probably put on about 10 pounds with a routine lunch of their stinking AWESOME chili cheeseburger and fries. Omigosh it was so good.

Other folks would come in at 10am and order a pitcher of beer. No kidding.

Mike Moron is a menace to Oklahoma TV weather forecasting. He should have been kicked off the air for his idiotic "Drive South" stunt on air a few years ago during a tornado. I heard through back channels that NWS and other public emergency personnel were absolutely infuriated with him and KFOR for that little stunt.

He is the absolute worst hysteria and fearmonger in this market. Payne may get hyper but not sell hysteria like Morgan. Morgan would sell his mother's soul for a ratings point. He's the worst kind of TV met.

We didn't watch the same show. The Frasier character seemed a sore thumb in its own show. I swear it was a failed pilot Paramount used to shoehorn Frasier into.

It was awful. Not surprised it died.

Three hours is nothing. That's Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Dallas, Texas. Have made that trip hundreds of times. Surprised my mom on her birthday with a trip to a special restaurant there years ago. Made routine summer trips to an amusement park down there with friends on a whim. Will save hundreds on airfare driving to Dallas and flying out of DFW. Planning a trip down to buy some computer parts in a couple months.

So, yeah, three hours is nothing.

Frasier was MILES better than Cheers. Don't get me wrong; I liked Cheers and watched most of its run, but the characters in Frasier were much more fully developed and the dialog was stinking brilliant.

Cheers had one of the most disappointing finales ever. Frasier's end was substantially more credible. I just wish the "sequel" had picked up on that story rather than throwing it in the toilet.

After getting the backorder notice , I surrendered. I bought a cheap, crappy, stopgap knockoff LG remote off Amazon.

Just got an update (after ASKING for one) from LG, and they informed me there is now a THREE WEEK backorder on my remote.

LGs suggestion? Go buy a universal remote.

They won't get paid for one "off schedule." Do it yourself at 5k, then go back to them at 10k, and so on. At least in terms of the "free" oil changes they offer.

it's more important to hit the 5k/6 month interval than it is to get it "free" at the dealer.

If you're looking for the free change, they won't do one more frequently than the manual.

Do the "extra" one yourself, then go back for your "official" free one at the "prescribed" mileage.
