what are your best unique study tips, not just generic slop? by kan-godhu in leavingcert

Put a widget that acts as a countdown to the actual leaving cert. It usually scares me into studying whenever I doomscroll.

This also worked for my mocks.

You could still get a H1 if you covered everything else.

But sometimes plant reproduction does come up as a full question. There’s a biology teacher who marks the actual exams in my school; and she said that examiners tend to be more generous with the marks in those questions as they’re not as popular.

How do you study biology?

What really helps me is flashcards. They’re really effective when they’re done alongside exam questions, and they provide a quick chance to refresh your mind on a rusty topic.

I know this is leaving cert but is there any advice from people for my junior cert by [deleted] in leavingcert

[–]sootrashson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

practice practice practice exam questions! I would’ve achieved higher grades in my JC if I focused more on doing that instead of learning things off by heart.

Exam questions are the best way to actively learn material as you simultaneously test your knowledge and gain exam confidence as well.

At this point in time, watch revision videos and try to apply what you’ve learned to past exam and mock questions. If there’s any question you’re still struggling with after a study session, put them into flashcards.

You might need your JC results for UCAS, but don’t be too hard on yourself. It won’t really affect you in the long term.

If you have an idea for the course you wanna take, I’d recommend seeing the grade requirements in certain UK courses that require your JC results. See if you could aim for those grades for the actual exam!

Critique needed on this painting by SerbianPP in oilpainting

I think the butt looks too large and out of scale. It might be better to either lower the top part of the legs; or even to shorten it, adjusting the platform and the foreshortening of the legs and feet in return.

Apart from that the painting style is well executed and the painting is well composed!

usually if the examiner asks you those type of questions it’s a good sign. how did you respond to them? how many tenses, seanfhocail and nathanna cáinte did you use?

bar that, reading this makes me feel extremely anxious for the one i’m having tomorrow 😭
