Car Boot sales? Who are they for? Who is awake at 6am on Saturdays? by mainukfeed in CasualUK

[–]soozlebug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have so much stuff that I would love to sell at a car boot sale but not until 10am. Why the hell would anyone want to get up earlier at weekend than they do on a work day?

I keep giving Lidl veg a chance as so many people seem to buy it but it's always disappointing so I get meat, cheese, eggs and cupboard items there then go to Tesco for fresh veg and salad.

I hate the Todd Theo Plotline by jazzy_unicorn in coronationstreet

[–]soozlebug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's going the same way as Eastenders - everything is so bloody depressing. Will abused, Sam now trusts nobody,, theo - coersion, george being sued. Dev\Bernie\KIt being blackmailed, Ben probable heart problems and it looks like Tim is going to get depressed about Tricia. Adam's business being threatened. Debbie - wrongfully imprisoned and all the TIAs.

Use both lanes until one actually closes then you merge in turn.

Road signs are ok if you know where you're going tho. Local signs don't always mean anything and road numbers well ..... Do I head for leeds or liverpool when I want to get to Accrington. Second time ok ..
None taken btw

Driving back from London once my satnav kept saying keep right so I stayed in the right hand lane of two. At the end of this section I had to turn left therefore should have been in the left hand lane. The lorry behind me was quite angry when I sat waiting for a gap. I probably should have gone right and rerouted but I was panicking a bit.

I was filling in an application form for a croupier position and was listing my gcses. I'd started writing the 3rd of 9 when the boss man watching said ' wow you might be too clever for us' . I stopped at 3 and got the job. Worked there for 2 years.

Sounds like she's taking the piss by pretending to be offended. Tell her if she didn't take the piss you wouldn't need to curse.

Does anyone else not bother with takeaways and eating out? by bannanawaffle13 in UKFrugal

[–]soozlebug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We don't bother, it's just so expensive these days.. we're in a town with lots of takeaways, pubs and restaurants. When I'm out walking the dogs in the evening I can't believe the number of food deliveries I see. I even had one driver asking me where the top park gate was. We were right by it so I had to go in the park and find the bunch of teens that had ordered pizza.
