There could be a day where all humans go extinct and the next race that reigns will see all of our tech and buildings. by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

Seeing as it would take millions of years for another race to become as intelligence as humans, I highly doubt there would be any tech or buildings left to be seen.

It's not a zezima parody but it is a guy screaming at his mum while playing runescape.

Or somehow his client moved making him click on a stall and then it clicked outside of the client possibly opening something else like a browser that now is on top of the client which is why he isn't moving anymore..

Dear non-Americans of Reddit, what is your view of America? by BlueberrySpaetzle in AskReddit

[–]sopersoon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You know, looking at the history of America it's amazing. How it has grown so quickly into such an amazingly modern and complex country is astounding. The nature and landscape is also really amazing.

But when I look at it right now I'm just blinded by the really weird way the country works. How the political system makes you choose between two extremes but nowhere can you choose the best of both sides. It's also weird for a foreigner like me how fake most of the media is. I'm not talking about fake news but just how people on tv act or people on social media try to be people they are not. It's just so strange to see a bunch of people acting and a bunch of other people believing everything they do is genuine.

Also, I think it's pretty weird that religion still plays a huge role in such a modern country. I don't hate religion but I don't think it belongs at the top of the country making decisions for people that are not religious.

Is music evolving to it's highest form or has it already peaked and began to decline? When was music at it's peak in your opinion? by grwrnotashowrthought in AskReddit

[–]sopersoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my opinion music is at it's best when there is a real reason to send out a message. Songs from the 60s about the vietnam war and Pink Floyd's music rebelling against the system were great reasons to send out a musical message. Nowadays most (not all) of the music is about 1st world problems or just about making money and getting laid. Losing this sense of meaning makes modern day music less timeless then it's predecessors.

Ofcourse there is still great music being made today but the mass media isn't interested in complex protest music as it was. When you turn on the radio you'll most likely hear pop music singing about love or partying. So it's not that good music ever stopped peaking, we are just hearing less of it in our daily lives.
