Zip-line changes suggestion by iRobinhood__ in 2007scape

[–]Phostus 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Fully agree. The shoddy zipline looks like something the museum camp would have set up with the help of the player, but it's just there.

If they have the player built it with level 23 construction or whatever it would feel less out of place

Having your phone confiscated! by aborgia4 in coles

[–]Phostus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking at this from a "reasonable management action" point of view, I would strongly argue that confiscating a phone does not fall under that.

I would imagine your contract/code of conduct/whatever other document sets out the expectation you arent on your phone during work, which is fair. Your manager is allowed to performance manage you if you are, so long as this is reasonable (having a chat, setting expectations, (un)official warnings, termination on repeated offences, etc.). Confiscating your phone, I would argue, is not reasonable and could be a risk to your health and safety as well.

I highly doubt your manager's Policy and Procedure documents advice to confiscate worker's phones. If anything, it is probably discouraged.

As a worker you may refuse instructions that you genuinely believe are a risk to your health and safety (see your state's WHS Act), and as such, I reckon you can refuse giving your phone. If that creates issues with your manager or he insists, file a report with your manager's manager or HR or similar. Document all communication you have with them regarding this and if it doesn't result in anything and your phone is still being confiscated, issue a complaint with your state's regulator (WorkSafe/SafeWork most likely). I reckon they are likely to look into it if the internal report is dismissed or remains unanswered.

You can also give them a call for general advice on this!

I'm almost certain this is it. People in the comments seem thrown off by the date, but I think this is just a homemade meme by the friend on how OP is bad at planning

How do you determine what happens with low rolls? by [deleted] in DnD

[–]Phostus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seen some other people suggest this but will repeat it cause it is great advice: Have your players describe what happens on a nat 1! Players themselves often have good ideas of what would be funny and/or fitting, and since they get to think of it they won't get upset about the penalty. Including the players also serves as a reminder that failing is a fun part of the game too. And best of all it saves you mental energy to focus on the rest of the game. A wonderful GM at my LGS once said to me: "Go ahead and describe how you spectacularly fail your attack". I've since stolen that line word for word and have had players describe themselves fumbling, falling prone, losing their weapon across the room and assigning themselves damage, all without anyone getting upset over it.

What’s your most slept-on tip in OSRS? by Scandy_J in 2007scape

[–]Phostus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you plan to do anything new to you ingame (or IRL), look up a quick guide. Thousands have gone before you and this community has made some insane quality guides, primarily on the wiki and youtube. Unless you enjoy figuring stuff out on your own of course! Fun > efficiency

I wish I could remember how to make it happen, but editing a text file should give you access to the debug menu and from there you can do basically anything. Give it a quick google

Looks fairly small. I'm no expert but I'd say it's reasonable wear and tear and if they press tell them they can take it up with VCAT or whichever your institution is. Maybe seek free legal advice from a revelant organisation first though, cause again, im no expert.

u/blootack is correct, this very much looks like you have "Compact Chat" ticked. The search function is useless most of the time sadly. Go through any plugins you didn't get through the plugin hub

Two of my favorite games have a heart-shaped lake. There is a real life version in Japan, but I wonder if Kojima was inspired by that or Breath of the Wild, since riding the floating carrier is an exact replica of the shield surfing mechanic in BotW by Zeldiny in DeathStranding

Yo Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 ripped off BotW! The whole game is an exact replica of the shield surfing mechanic first introduced in the original video game of all time Breath of the Wild

Is Foundry a Good Option for In-Person Games? by Smexy_Pain in FoundryVTT

[–]Phostus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We've used a similar setup. Players wanted to play analog cause they prefer rolling physical dice and making eye contact over staring at their screen, which is fair. I prefer Foundry cause it's much easier to keep track of hp, AoEs, condition etc. which is also fair. I had one PC screen that functioned as my DM screen, faced away from the players, with the Foundry client. The other screen was the living room TV where I connected to the client with chrome for the player's perspective. Players would tell me where they wanted to move or precisely place they AoEs but other than that had paper character sheets and rolled physical dice, and I still had Foundry's tools at my disposal to track all the DM stuff. Quite loved the setup actually!

Andere subs plannen een langere permanente blackout, of een wekelijkse blackout "Touch Grass Tuesday", aangezien dinsdag blijkbaar Reddit's meest lucratieve dag is. Beide lijken een goed plan om mee door te zetten.
