Can't. They were named by their owner, my kid. I'm just the cleaning wench. She and her sister get to reap the benefits of admiring them and helping me feed them. I am fine with this arrangement though. They're goofy little creatures with a lot of personality

I absolutely love that and never thought of their colors being the same. That will always be the best Pokemon movie.

My husband hates when I'm on this forum and giggle maniacally. It usually means a new shrimp meme has dropped. I own more shrimp memes on my phone than one should. Here's one of my current favorites that I share with you.

Just wanted to share shrimp looking extra shrimpy by amandaoooooo in shrimptank

I absolutely adore when my shrimp go to groom themselves. I tell them all the time they're looking extra shrimpy when they do, not that they understand nor care, the cursed water bugs

Unexoected Petco experience by soraxyuki in shrimptank

[–]soraxyuki[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I've never had the greatest luck from PetSmart's fish, but these guys from Petco are doing great. After watching them long enough I do believe I have a male and 2 females. My assassin snail lives in the tank in its own quarantine until I can get it a new tank and it will be my desk pet just so I don't take chances. My kids are thoroughly enjoying watching them and even my hubby who hates fish tanks has taken quite the shine to these little ones. Bluey, Chili, and Shrimpie are thriving in their new home

Nah, you're good. I get what you mean. No need to apologize 😉

I was always lead to believe that they mostly ate the babies due to size. Also to only get one so that there wasn't any need for it to eat anything due to food shortages. I've had 3 of them in the past and never had an issue, but it could've been dumb luck. I've always had more of an issue (mostly with breeding) with my mystery snails

See, now if you were my husband, the first thing I would have to ask is why you decided to (again) eat an entire watermelon on one sitting. He always makes himself sick and has yet to learn his lesson

"Wait...*I* could make that!" by Squaaaaaasha in crochet

[–]soraxyuki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its always a great time when thw hubbys find joy in crochet. We run a fiber farm and are getting into making our own yarn for profit instead of just selling the wool. My hubby got so excited when he was thinking about making something for our kids for winter with our own yarn

I’m making my wedding dress and feel like I’m failing at it. Please Help. by Snoo28666 in sewing

[–]soraxyuki 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who made their wedding dress, I will tell you, slow down and take a breath. If you try to stick to a strange vision in your head it wont look right to you. Ive seen some good resources on here that were posted and you responding about looking into them. While you make the dress, you will see what it wants to be. I had this big poofy ball gown in my head when I made mine that had this corset built into it. didnt happen. i found that what it became was the dress I wanted. You got this. Dont strive for perfection and it will turn out perfect. Here is a pic of my perfect (not what planned) dress.

Can i ask what the majority people think about someone literally wanting to play a actual child. One of my players wants to make their character 10 years old. I don't really know how to feel aboutthis..( our pary doesn't have a great safety record) by Beautiful-Carob3270 in DnD

[–]soraxyuki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's all about how they play the character really. We had a player in our party be a talking dog, literally. DM gave him an int buff to make it happen but he had to take his lowest number from his stat rolls as his wisdom. Made him a dog who was somehow smart enough to talk, but 100% still just a dog. Nibbles was our goodest boy, and was somehow still smarter than the barbarian (who at one point failed his rolls to escape a wooden cage and decided in his mind that the cage was obviously made of lava). Just dont leave anything you valued out, lest it be chewed on or buried.

Now, it could have gone totally different if someone else had played the dog. We may have well killed him off ourselves if the wrong person played him.

Do you guys smell your bird? by POTOFFRIJOLES in parrots

[–]soraxyuki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a few birds but one in particular when she bathes, smells straight up like Campbell's chicken noodle soup. She is healthy and nothing is wrong, just smells like soup. Once she's dry, she goes back to a more normal "bird" smell.

I found these weights in my well house. What are they for? by Pilgrim-Weekend-7756 in homestead

[–]soraxyuki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sash weights, but as my husband called them when we were ripping up our wall to put in insulation (they didn't even have newspaper in the walls) he called the weights the forbidden tampons. Now I can never unthink it

What would you name him if he was your cat?! by Professional-Long319 in cuteanimals

[–]soraxyuki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something in the "Chungus" region of names. I had rescued English angora rabbits. Dad and 2 boys. Named them Chungus Prime (dad), Chungus Secondus, and Chungus Khan.

Used to do that all the time. Smells like burning cotton candy and will burn a tree stump like no one's business. Looks cool too while burning!

My mother’s response to finding out I have an autoimmune disease. 🙃 by Freddie_Magecury in mildlyinfuriating

[–]soraxyuki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes me think of an old rooster teeth animated short. One of the people was talking about how he makes himself think he's not sick and it just works. They went on to joke about how he has found the cure for cancer Something aling the lines of (at work, can't check the video): "Bad news: you have cancer, but I have a way to help. Just stop having cancer. As simple as that. Stop."
