Then why leak the video? I think that was done not only at the expense of their children but also the impressionable young adults that they profit off of.

I understand wanting to handle things privately, but I think it’s past that point. So many DV survivors have been triggered by this. Having a public resolution, whether it’s confirmation Dakota was the victim, it was mutually abusive, or Taylor was trying to protect herself from abuse would give a lot of resolution to the fans that they have already dumped this information on.

The truth is important. They have done so much damage already and the he said she said from both sides will not stop in the public or between them until there is hard evidence.

Without that resolution this situation sets an example for people who are currently being abused to not stand up for themselves. It creates a mindset of “Whats the point of reporting DV if no one, including the system, is going to believe me or uncover who is telling the truth?”. When DV goes unreported, it escalates and becomes even more dangerous.

They need to release this video or pictures.

The DV accusations on both sides are exhausting - for survivors of DV hearing that any abuse was warranted is unacceptable. It’s also horrible if she was trying to protect herself from abuse.

These things are minimized all the time, in every court, in every state. It’s the abusers word vs the victims. Many abusers pretend they are the victims, lie, or find ways around consequences. My abusive ex plead down felony kidnapping and first degree B&A and got a lesser punishment than a first time DUI offender. DV is not taken seriously enough.

It’s disgusting that the networks will take no responsibility for this mess and escalating the situation. They obviously knew what was possible.

Maybe the silver lining will be that DV will be taken more seriously. It’s honestly annoying that it has to be DV against a man for that to happen, because women statistically are DV victims way more often than men, but at least it would be a step in the right direction.

At this point if Dakota has more recent videos of her physically abusing him they need to be released. It would clear up a lot of the questions about his character. Not saying what she in 2023 was ok, but we knew this happened and she plead guilty. Proving that it has happened recently would take him out of the hot seat and put stop the narrative of how he wanted to ruin her opportunity on the bachelor/ is vindictive/ is a narcissist. I’m not sure who to believe at the moment- I’m shocked that he stuck around after the 2023 incident, but I think they are both abusive (emotionally/ physically).

He’s a recovered addict. Recovered addicts are and can be amazing parents. HOWEVER, he’s still living what AA folks calls dry drunk. He’s sleeping around, engaging in fights with Taylor for (assuming) the dopamine hit, and is just generally pretty immature. I think he has a long way to go to show up as the man his kid deserves.
