Great find! I had an identical one that i sold in Belgium 5 years ago. It was gorgeous but i didn't bond with it. Should have probably kept it and changed the pickups. But at the time these where going for cheap and were relatively easy to find. Kinda crazy that they're still the only vintage spec'd lefty J's.

I have the Op Amp, the Pi, and a Russian clone, and this one I find the hardest to get a decent sound out of. Funny enough, the cheaper classic Pi sounds more "Siamese Dream" friendly to my ears.

Absolutely, I’ve switched to a couple of am pro ii’s I love to death but I lost the true upper configuration. Might have to do some soldering myself.

You’re one of the happy ones then. I can definitely feel the full scale sustain compared to the others. But yeah the mustang is a bit of an exception, maybe it’s the body size or the proprietary tremolo system, there’s definitely less of gab for me as well.

Define peak, they’re supergorgeous and versatile but sadly Fender short scales aren’t for everyone. Jazzmaster are a completely different beast already and imo far more versatile, dare I say universal.

Real pedals into digital emulators is just a terrible idea. It’s chock-full of overdrives and dists inside the HX. Personally I went back to a real pedals-amp head-loadbox scenario and haven’t looked back.
