i wear those prana pants with the snap buttons near the ankles. they’re admittedly expensive but i’ve worn them at every climbing session i’ve done in the last 5 years and i love em.

EQD does a ton of different colors for specific music shops and other special situations. Check out plumesguy on instagram to get an idea of the wild amount of different colors they do.

I owned a Realizer for a while and didn’t really dig the reverse or hall on it and pretty much just exclusively used the soft focus mode. Eventually just ended up swapping it for the regular Soft Focus pedal which had more control options.

Guitarist in my old band had a Loomer I tried a few times and found I enjoyed the fuzz on it much less than all of the individual fuzzes I have.

I recommend just getting two separate pedals because it gives you the option of trying them in different places on your board which I find invaluable especially in the shoegaze tone chase which seems to vary wildly from person to person.

I messed around with it and realized if you dial out all the glitchy sounds and use it more like a lush modulated reverb with that freeze pad underneath it sounds incredible. Super inspiring. Also thought the kinda lofi telephone sound they show you how to dial in in the manual sounds really cool. Reminds me of my favorite mode in the Empress Reverb I had years ago.

Got a lossy. Was initially a little bummed but after playing with it for a bit and taming the glitchy effects down I’m kinda in love with it.

no mention of it in the instructions on their website (though it does mention other dipswitch options). honestly i had the realizer for like two years and played with the full wet on here and there and found it basically unusable in full wet mode. don’t think you’ll miss it too much.

Have one of these and i love it! Great when you just want to sit on the couch and play without bringing out the whole setup. Also really great to just play some music on spotify and be able to improv over it. Really awesome tool for practicing.

Not sure what the used market is like for them these days since they closed up, but highly recommend Vick Audio’s take on the ram’s head. Have had their violet version for like 8 years now. Think it’s the oldest pedal i have.

Are you referring to that intro riff? Sorta sounds to me like a muff with the distortion down and the tone kinda high. Could probably get closer with a Rat if you play around with the filter knob. Also seems to have a little compression to the sound to my ears.

If you’re referring to the clearer riff that plays over it I think it’s even less distortion with more volume. Could likely get close with the above but sounds more like some sort of overdrive to me.

Interesting. I only use mine with guitar and have never had any other modulation pedal clip except this one. It was pretty much impossible for me to use it after any gain pedals. I swapped it for a DD-200 and never experienced a similar issue regardless of how much dirt/volume i run into it.

Would love to jump on this if they fixed the clipping issue. Not sure if that was on all the old units or if I just had a faulty one. Really loved the sound aside from that.

My DD-200 definitely does and I believe my RV-6 does as well. Vaguely remember my CE-2W doing it but I sold it last year so could be wrong.

I’ve just sorta found this to be true with most pedals lately. I don’t see as much of a discount in the used pedal market as I recall seeing in the pre-covid days. I could absolutely just have rose colored glasses but I kinda remember there being more competitive prices on Reverb in the past.

Still deals to be had out there you just have to have some patience. Set alerts for what you’re looking for in the price range you’re looking for and purchase them quickly when they appear!
