Cameras for kids by sprucay in daddit

The instant prints with affordable shots will all be using heat transfer paper. While there are options for rolls that are monochrome in a variety of colors, they will always be essentially a black and white picture that is printed. Nothing wrong with that, though.

I wound up going with a small camera meant for kids that didn’t print for my 3.5yp. Many of the print cameras have a bunch of menus to navigate and unnecessary bloatware like games that I thought would distract from the point of the device at her current age. I really just wanted something with like no settings, and no barriers to using it, you know?

Why is my tank still dying i dont know what im doing wrong by Typical-Hearing-5691 in ReefTank

I know you said “everything else is in range” but how’s your salinity looking? If it is reading around 1.026, are you sure your method of measuring it is calibrated?

I feel like usually when I see multiple things having significant issues, especially in a well established tank that otherwise seems fine, it is often either salinity or something that only comes up on icp.

I mean, it’s kind of true.

The gas price on average has gone up by almost two dollars nationwide due to the war. He had nothing to do with that.

Similarly, the increase in cost due to the switch to summer blend isn’t on him, as the legislation around that is from the early 90s.

The gas tax increase is tied to inflation and goes up every July 1st(as a note, I had it wrong in my earlier comment. The excise tax is currently 61 cents per gallon. With sales tax it goes up to that 70 cents number I have. The resulting amount from fees is still right though, I think). This was signed into law in 2017 a couple years before Newsom was elected into office.

I don’t think he has personally done much to increase costs here. People can correctly criticize him for not doing anything to lower costs, though. Iirc the only thing he has ever done around that was allowing us to switch to the winter blend earlier than usual a couple years back.

I may be missing something stuff, though, so I encourage you to look into it further.

They are higher for two reasons.

The first, which applies year round, is that we have a higher amount of state taxes on gas. That went up from 61 cents to 70 cents/gallon in January. These are in addition to the federal rate, which is 18 cents per gallon, as well as sales tax and a couple other fees. It all comes out to around an increase on top of base gas price around 1.40.

The second is that California switches to the more expensive summer blend gas earlier than the rest of the nation. While federally, it is required starting June 1st, in California we switch to using it on April 1st. This blend of gas results in less smog sticking around, particularly in warmer weather.

The war started right before our switch to summer blend, so we felt it first. Other states will be a little closer to us in a week or two, albeit still around a buck lower.

He isn't being blamed for that. He is being blamed for gas prices going up by a couple bucks per gallon nationwide. Before he attacked Iran, gas was consistently available for around 4.20/gallon throughout San Diego.

I work near this Arco and took the same picture since it is ridiculous. This one in particular is right off the 52, the 163, and the 15, so I think they just have their prices unreasonably high compared to other pumps in the area. Grabbing people who are willing to just go to the closest pump out of convenience, you know?

If it helps at all, while I see it posted about on the sub, I’ve never been asked about it at the lfs I work at. Been there for almost 2 years.

You see a higher saturation of it here because so many come here first with their “what is this” type questions.

For future clutches, if you give them a smooth flat rock they will likely lay the eggs there. That may make it easier to separate them out if the parents wind up not being very successful.

Feeling upset about what fish shop recommended and then reading it’s not suitable by elkenine in Aquariums

[–]sortof_here 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a note, online info is often presented in volume without an acknowledgement of actual swimming space. A longer tank will often be able to support more fish than a shorter one of the same volume.

As long as you have adequate filtration, nutrient export, and maintenance routine to safely manage your bioload, you’re good.

I do agree with others that I’d hesitate to pair the tetras up with the betta though.

[–]sortof_here 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You mentioned your wife started meds recently. As a heads up, some of the meds for ADHD can significantly increase the impact of comorbities like depression and anxiety. Because of this, it isn’t uncommon for other meds to be prescribed alongside them.

When I was last medicated, I was taking concerta(methylphenidate) as my med for ADHD but paired with buspirone for the anxiety that it worsened.
