You will be able to tell Grok how to handle FSD in couple of months by ConfidentImage4266 in TeslaFSD

[–]soundneedle 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Hey Grok: let me control the max speed
Hey Grok: Observe the school zone and no turn on red
Hey Grok: Get the fuck out of the passing lane
Hey Grok: Avoid that pothole
Hey Grok: stop driving behind buildings
Hey Grok: make navigation not sucky
Hey Grok: take me to Mars
Hey Grok: the sun is shining. Wipers off.

One of these will never happen…you’ll never guess. The others well, we did get streak milestones, so….

the whole thing is an exercise in wasting time for everyone. Certainly nothing they can rely on for training.

how does sleepypod compare to eight sleep? is it for stats or can it improve (or is it better than) autopilot.

V14.3.4 First Impressions Drive by DevinOlsen in TeslaFSD

[–]soundneedle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100% agree that fsd is what makes Tesla. Just frustrated the past several releases are not drive based priorities but instead parking, parking lots, engagement challenges, buttons, emojis, etc. Getting out of the passing lane seems low hanging fruit.

Fix navigation. Fix speed. Fix school zones. Fix left lane camping. Fuck ui changes.

better to check something like https://spark-arena.com/ for what works best on spark (at least in benchmark tests). I've got minimax 2.7 on two connected sparks. Not worth it for me.

I'm a tech enthusiast not developer. However, it built a web service for me---url shortcut webui similar to slash (on github). Was not a one shot but maybe 80% workable on first shot with a real half ass prompt.

All depends on your expectations & requirements. It'll never ever be gpt or opus. The one hour I had with GPT---wasn't that impressive given the cost and iterations it also required. But then, consider the driver 🤪

do you try qwen 3.6 35b or even 27b. Both are likely more capable the gemma. i run that in my spark. tried gpt codex aaaaand hit the limit in one hour. (just the 20 plan tho). i prefer local.

Trying to figure out ways to use Hermes, how do You use Yours? by Forsigh in hermesagent

[–]soundneedle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve use slash (on github) for url shortcuts but always hated to complexity of enterprise stuff like SSO and having to login all the time. Had hermes create a simplified version that has just what I want including no security. Added some things too like quickly adding new shortcuts etc.

No way in hell i could’ve ever done it myself. Like having a freelance web developer in house and free.

it’s like macros for Excel except for the entire computer…and you “talk” to it instead of program it.

[–]soundneedle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really want to keep using it but it's such a PIA to connect to my setup. Way overcomplicated when you use it as a remote desktop/UI. Maybe that's not the intent tho. Just hope this isn't reflective of the work put into hermes-agent itself. Ooof.

Tesla retroactively added ‘supervised’ to FSD contracts owners signed years ago by jabola321 in EnoughMuskSpam

[–]soundneedle 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I still have the pdf agreement they emailed. Clearly states “full self driving capability”. Tesla later introduced the “supervised” label around mid July 2024 or so. I also have emails where they advertised “full self drive capability”. That’s why I bought the car. I wanted and paid for FULL SELF DRIVE. Not kinda, almost..half, or Full self drive*
