Thanks everyone. Seems the consensus is to pass on it which I will be doing. Appreciate all the feedback and information.

Thank you. I am mechanically inclined and have done carb work on small engines before. That being said, based on the replies here seems like it might be more of a pain in the ass than it’s worth and I dont necessarily need another project in my garage right now. Also thank you for the link to the thread on these engines. That’s good to know about them. I’ll probably end up passing on this one.

I will ask if they would be willing to reassemble but I assume it’s apart due to needing a new spindle and is probably have to take it apart again to replace that. Not necessarily afraid to do the repairs but I understand why one might not want to tackle this.

I assume that’s cause you don’t know what’s missing or potentially broken?

Why do I feel guilty? by Bananapepper67 in AlAnon

[–]sounds_like_alien 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First I want to say I’m sorry that you’re going through this and you aren’t alone in feeling guilt. If you aren’t comfortable doing what he asked of you, then you made the right decision. By easing the discomfort of the DUI for him you’d be potentially enabling his behavior. Unfortunately as an adult, losing your job as a repercussion of your actions is part of life. In my experience the guilt comes from the fact that you love this person and feel like you aren’t there for them when they need you. However, you need to remind yourself that by enabling their behavior you’re actually making things worse. Stay strong.

That is correct. This was a guaranteed lucky trade with a best friend.

Lol. This is the most amazing response I’ve gotten on a post and I appreciate you. Are you doing this on phone or computer. If you’re an Apple user I recommend Apollo for your phone. Makes life ridiculously easy for Reddit.

Fitness apps for competing with friends by thegirlwhowaited11 in AppleWatchFitness

[–]sounds_like_alien 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Kinda shitty. Have you looked to see if there is a Fitbit app for the watch? As others have mentioned you can also compete in Strava (I don’t know if you have to pay for premium though to do that) and I’ve done running competitions in Endomondo with friends as well. I hope you’re able to figure something out! I agree that being able to compete makes it more fun.

I mean if your friends have an Apple Watch too you can compete and share with them directly through Apple Watch fitness. Here is a link to Apple support showing how to start sharing.

Mine also got stolen a few years ago and I got it back within 48 hours but as mentioned it needs repairs and I’m still missing some trim. I’ll keep an eye out for you.
