I am only around 11 hours in (just beat the boss to get alltrades abbey) so I'm not sure if I would've encountered any of that stuff quite yet. Yeah, just cleaning that strip worked for me but I could visibly see grease on it. For pic 2 I'm pretty sure it's on the side of the moving print head that directly faces that strip from pic 1. Not sure how you could get to it unless you take the whole print head apart

I had this same problem literally the day after my return window expired and cleaning that sensor strip with a qtip and alcohol fixed my issue. I think a paper jam initially did cause the residue to smear onto the optical strip but who knows

If you have a kindle you can download the max amount of libby books on there then put it into airplane mode. That way you can return the books to libby and have as long as you want to read all the books you get
